Its 25plo ZOOM.
Villain is 15 11 with a bttn steal of 26%. F3b 0 4b 0, samples (0/4). Wtsd13 after 258 hands.
Do you like the 3b or should my hand be stronger like 8765 or 8764DS?
The flop isnt good but villain might fold some hands enough of the time since he is somewhat nitty I dont expect him to make that much plays but play pretty straightforward.
When he calls the flop I put him on a kxxx or a flushdraw or maybe both.
If he shoves the turn I get ~29% and if I put villain on
>kcqcjdtd I have 40% against him so I should call.
>9c7cjdtd I have 42,5% against him so I should call.

I think he shoves the flop with kkxx and little wraps with nfd like a543dd if thats even in his range.
I just put him a lot on kxxx type of hands when he calls the flop tbh.
What do you think?

This really depends how he plays in 3-bet pots but vs. a nitty random I think 3-betting is fine 'cas we'll probably win the pot on a lot of flops we miss and he'll basically never put us on what we have. I certainly prefer 3-betting to flatting given this hand sucks multi-way OOP. However, whether 3-betting is > folding is up for debate and I'm unsure. I feel that in ZOOM where ranges are tighter I would probably lean towards a fold... just... but then having realised that's what might be best, I'd 3-bet anyways just cuz.

As played turn is a super-clear barrel imo. You have a s*** ton of equity w/ a wrap and flush draw and will likely get him to lay down a lot of hands like Kxxx, random flush draws etc. which is obv. great for you. If he shoves you'll have plenty of equity to call off and if he calls you can probably 3-barrel a ton of blank rivers (I'd likely shove most non-diamond rivers, although other broadway cards that aren't spades would make me pause).

Thanks for your reply.

So you really 3b tight in this spot? Say only 8765 SS and better? Or 8764 DS and better?

I mean, yeah in general I'm gonna try and be tighter than usual SB vs. BTN simply because they fold a lot of the marginal hands they'd usually open in this spot. That said, I could very much go either way with this hand and am probably placing too much emphasis on the fact it's ZOOM. I think 3-betting here is fine, just as folding will be. I just don't wanna call and let the BB in, thus reducing the value of our lower straights and flushes.

(Guess you could always TAAAAAAANK call and give the BB a chance to quick fold Poke Tongue ).
