May sound fishy but I was tired on calling flop & dont hit and/or call & hit but not get payed. So I decided to just play for stacks. Hand felt easier to play this way. If I just call the flop I have to fold a lot of missed turns. Is that a bad thought process here?

Well played, but not for those reasons. Raising flop is good because we hit the flop really well and can fold out tons of hands that still have good equity against us. We're also doing just fine against his overall flop jamming range when he does have a piece.

Yeah we raise flop because he can fold things like one pair of sixes, weak overpairs but also to protect against stuff like overcards that can spike the turn.
We also prevent a barrel which is something we don't necessarily want given how people will often shut down on flush completing board. (Often vs bad players I will play a very unbalanced strat of shoving a lot of flush draws on the flop and calling without a flush draw and rep the flush completing card.)
