Villain is playing pretty loose OOP and has 3-bet 36% over 72 hands. I know I don't have a very strong hand, but given the SPR, do I raise and get it in here?

BB: $32.35
Hero (BTN/SB): $50.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN/SB with 8 Heart 9 Heart T Club 7 Heart
Hero raises to $1.50, BB raises to $4.50, Hero calls $3

Flop: J Heart 7 Spade 3 Club ($9.00) (2 players)
BB bets $9.00

if you'r in doubt, you should really do alot more equity calculations!
This is a really standard raise/call, even with his aggro preflop tendencies and even deeper!

A tighter 3bettor wouldn't flop that many strongs hands on a board like this. A more aggresive, like you'r against, do have some 2 pair and maybe some sets the tighter 3bettor doesn't have in his range, but in your spot it's really, really not close at all. Smile

Yup, this is a shove and not very close. Unless stacks are a lot deeper (and thus his range to stack off against our raise is necessarily stronger).

So this is a shove because we have good eq vs his stackoff range and we can fold out hands that have good eq vs us right?
