Villain is 58/3 over 50-ish hands. No reads. Doesn't seem aggressive. I am putting him on a K or Q high flush here on the flop. What I was thinking was, I could raise now on the flop, or give him the opportuniry to build the pot and make more money later. If I call flop, it may look more realistic to him that I have the nuts as a lot of players will play the A flush slowly here. Alternatively I can rep boats and pretty much blow him off his hand every time if he stops betting.
I've seen a few looser players just refuse to fold flushes though once they start putting money in. My questions are 1) how often do you think a player like this will consider folding for all his moneys w/ a non-nut flush? 2) if we can't get this kind of player off of his flush in this scenario, what kinds of villains besides TAGs can we make plays like this against?
I just started playing PLO exclusively about 1 week ago and still trying to figure out with what frequency players are taking actions, and with what ranges. I find myself playing quite nitty in many spots as I'm really uncertain as to how loose/tight players of different profiles are. I'm playing a 22/15 prf, w/ 29% agg freq, and I'm used to playing 26/21-ish w/ 40% agg freq in HEM 6max. I'm pretty sure I could play much looser and more aggressively, but I just don't have a feel for how loose these guys are, and my gut reaction over the last few weeks is to let my red line plummet and just rape these guys whenever I have a hand. They just seem really loose. It's SEEMS as though these players are actually much worse than HEM recreational players, as their poker sense at times is just enormously distorted. I sometimes feel awkward bluffing at all without a strong draw for backup.

That's low stakes plo in a nutshell! Look out for bluffable tags too, that's pretty much it, abc. Don't bluff unless you know there's a high chance they'll fold & value bet the **** out of em when you have.

I've tried to make even taggy looking players fold flushes & it doesn't work as often as you'd think, stick to the value. Maybe at like 100+ we could start getting a lil more bluff happy as the game changes, there's more regs thinking about what our hand looks like rather than at 25, "I haz flush!!!"

Trying to make bad players fold flushes is generally speaking a really bad idea.
