I basically don't know what I was doing in this hand and confused myself.

I have just sat at the table, maybe an orbit or 2.
BB is a huge fish playing 80/7
Villain is 22/16 over 200 hands (not from this session). I don't remember when I played with him, but I don't remember him doing anything spazzy. His W$SD is 60%. Fold to 3bet 20%.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I probably flat pre this deep, might be different if the open was from say the CO but seriously 200 deep and without suits this is going to be a nightmare to play post if you don't flop a set. I like the 3b alot better with a suit.

Flop is obviously really weird because I would expect slowplays from boats/A3xx but at the same time he probably knows he's not repping much and shouldn't expect you to fold AAxx or KKxx unless he thinks you're some dumb nit who can't hand read and bleeds monies at NSD. I don't see myself ever folding flop though.

Turn is gross, wish you had more reads. It really looks valuetownish to me and I don't see a reg pulling a bluff like this so I probably fold but I mean this is really the top of your range so it's mega exploitable, which is obviously not a reason to make a bad calldown but it's reason enough to feel like shit when having to fold.

Definitely flat pre I think.

Yeah I flat pre as well. As played, I think checking flop and reevaluating is fine, betting is like ok but you really need a plan for raises which should probably be to just b/f.

Awesome, cheers. That's what I figured.
Say I flat pre. What is our flop and turn play?

c/c, c/c I think, since he can have plenty of semibluffs and could be betting KKxx or QQxx.

Schweig, I agree that if we 3b checking flop is OK but isn't it way too nitty to even consider folding, since we're still beating so much of his range? I think same applies if you bet and get raised, although I'm no expert in PLO I think it's just way too exploitable to fold flop.

I wouldn't really check/fold very often but there might be some bet size tell (if the fish pots it or something) that will lead me to fold. It will most likely require reevaluating on the turn though once we c/c, but I imagine a lot of the time it will check through flop or if we c/c, it will check through turn.

Betting and getting raised is a very different situation because raise bluffs are expensive and people don't raise here with worse for value either. We look like we have AA and most players won't want to spend money on a bluff before knowing what we'll do with AA.
