Merge - $0.10 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $11.21
SB: $13.06
BB: $10.27
Hero (UTG): $21.13 30/21 AF-2.88
MP: $10.00
CO: $16.50 74/31 AF-3.74 Total X/R %- 22 He also put a bad beat on me ~10-15 hands ago (how he got pretty deep)

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has AHeart KDiamond ADiamond 2Diamond

Note: Open up Aces pretty standard.

Hero raises to $0.35, fold, CO calls $0.35, BTN calls $0.35, fold, fold

Flop: ($1.20, 3 players) 6Club 9Diamond 6Spade

Note: I check because CO is very aggressive and I don't wanna get X/R off of the best hand.

Hero checks, CO checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($1.20, 3 players) ASpade

Note: Best card for us. I go ahead and lead fairly small hoping to keep FDs in and make it look like I have a FD. I get raised and I just call to keep it looking like I have a FD.

Hero bets $0.70, CO raises to $2.00, fold, Hero calls $1.30

River: ($5.20, 2 players) 5Spade

Note: I go ahead and lead like I hit my flush and we get raised. What do you guys do here? I haven't repped AA** strongly, but I'm pretty much always checking that flop with aces against this guy. So he might have put me on AA** OTF.

Hero bets $3.90, CO raises to $13.65, Hero ???

I thought he may have flopped a full house, but I don't know if he'd raise with that. Because there are so few combos I'm losing too and I repped a flush is this always a call? I'm asking because this hand is similar to another DC PLO post (Monsters Under the Bed...) where most people said to bet/call, not bet/shove. Another thing to consider is how deep we both are. Let me know what you guys think.

This is most definitely a shove. In this case there is only one hand that beats you (as opposed to 3) and the player in question is much more aggressive so as to probably overvalue some weaker full houses. There are also more full houses he can be raising for value (A6, 3 combos of 99) because he thinks he has the best hand as opposed to what was essentially 1 combo of KQ in the previous example.

Okay that's what I thought. I ended up shoving and he flopped quad 6s. Smile

The other thing to consider is the SPR in this situation is a lot different. Here you aren't really shoving that much more in whereas the other hand if I recall after the bet/3bet there was still some left behind to shove the rest in. Here you guys have already created a much larger pot so his range can be a bit wider here.

I dont really like the flop check. I'd bet the flop. CO might be agro but most agro people are a little more tame in multi-way pots when they are stuck in the middle.

I think b/f the flop is fine.

I'd bet like $0.80 then fold to any raise.

What was your plan on the flop when you check, CO bets and BTN folds? BTN calls? BTN raises?

I just think betting this flop is better.

Oh and yes losing all your money in this hand the way it was played is your only option.

I like checking the flop better because he knows that flop completely missed my range unless I have a random 6 or a pair of 9s, so he can X/R bluff profitably here with pretty much anything. Even if I did call the only turns that are good for me are a diamond or an ace, so most times if I check unimproved OTT and he bets I have to X/F with possibly the best hand.
