Villain is extremely passive after 94 hands 53/2 AF 0,9, seems fit or fold type guy as he's folding to cbets 69% of the time. Check raises 8%. On the flop I am basically betting for protection. Am I right to be very suspicious of his flop call? I feel that with 2 pair or a wrap he'd have maybe check raise. Against a set I am a 3 to 1 dog on the turn, it would be bad to get check raised. Also, I feel that his playback range is inelastic, except maybe with a 3pair type of hand that pot controls.

Given the SPR is 2, I would just pot it. If we get c/r, we’re still going to have anywhere from 10 – 18 outs when we’re behind and he can have lots of pair plus straight draw hands with decent equity that we wouldn’t mind folding out now.

I would've bet a little bigger OTF, like $6.75. When you bet just over half pot it may seem to him like you're weak. OTT, I'd bet there for sure, probably around $17-19. You pick up a ton of outs and if you bet turn you can set yourself up for a river bet that can get him off some weak two pair hands if you miss.

Definitively agree that I should bet bigger OTF because 1. I bluff rarely in non-hu pots and 2. If I bluff I'd bet bigger; by betting this size I'm repping not much bluffs so I am unbalanced, therefore exploitable
OTT, I should bet/call because 1. He's passive and can still just call with low sets & I have a blocker to KKxx 2. I am doing very good against draws/pair+draws

I would also bet bigger on flop and definitely bet the turn. Considering you bet 5 into 9 on flop I think there is even less reason to think his call is suspicious and you are being trapped, if anything he will peel flop wider imo. Bet for value / protect from any 8 sidercards/Gutshots, 567x, Kxxx and if you are shoved on then you can call it off as doing well enough equity wise i think.
Also, you say you think he will raise with a wrap yet he is super passive, any aggression in my opinion is most likely then a made hand rather than a draw which is another reason to bet the turn.
