At 10:35 Shouldn't you also give him credit for possibly having 9 Txx like maybe QJT9, J9T8 type hands. Instead of just AA,JJ,AJ type hands.

On river, I just do not see what you are beating except maybe a A3xx type hand. He takes over lead on turn, and continues on river. If he had a busted FD best it could be was Q high, so I would assume he had something else to go with it. Like QJT9, QJ98, KQJT type hands. Sets are a pretty big part of his range here as well. Think 33 is unlikely, and AA is unlikely as you hold an A and probably one of few hands he does 4 bet with his stats. JJ is definately possible as played. But honestly be more worried about straight than anything else here.

Thank you for posting this. Love the PLO shorts!

Yep, you are right, and I think I acknowledged this in the video. I don't like my call.

do you guys think ch/c this river on a K/Q becomes better or worse? I think it becomes even worse since or perceived range OTR contains way more 2pairs now. a good hanreader might take this as a reason not to bwaff. nobody folds top2..

i would guess that at smallstakes betting this turn und check/calling on the 8 is way better since peoples peeling ranges OTF and OTT are usually wider. they also hesitate to bluff (in big pots) more often therefore less value is gained by checking the turn to induce.

as played, whats or valueplan OTR for say a low club / a rainbow T? I think i like bombing clubs and checkraising Ts. Might be superfishy tho Smile

having thought about it a minute, against a sewper heropeely regular i like checkraising both of them since its so easy for him to put us on AKc when we kc the turn.

Would you still c/c AKQT (with nut clubs) for the same reasons?

Is c/r'ing the river an option at all or is he not going to fold better that often show we should just bluffcatch/fold?

He probably bets bigger with T9 but he also knows that, etc.

Hi Ansky,

I'm a bit late in commenting on this video but maybe you still see this. I'm a bit surprised that you had such a hard time with how you played the hand. Granted ... 3betting with that hand that deep probably was a mistake. But I'd say that depends very much on the opponent. If the opponent would fold 75% of the time against a cbet in a 3bet pot, I'd say the 3bet was the right move.

Anyway, I think your decision on the river was correct under most circumstances. Again, it really depends on your opponent. But at these stakes I doubt that a river call would be a mistake. I mean, on the turn you pretty much put your hand face-up on the table. You obviously had a draw so a lot of aggressive players would bet the turn and barrel again on the river ... and would be correct to do so. After all, if you ponder if calling with aces up is the right thing to do you most likely would have folded top pair unimproved (and of course worse). The range of an aggressive player on the river is so wide that I'd say you have to call, especially with the odds given. He only needs to bluff 27.5% in this spot for a call to be correct and with the hand played out I'd say many players at these stakes would easily bluff this often here. Just my two cents ...

Cheers,
Chris

Like your vids, good stuff. By far the biggest flaw in this hand/vid is that you talk through blockers, but neglect to discuss the fact that you yourself have the nut-low "negative blockers" taking a chunk out of villains bluffing range.
