A 9 or ace is obv bad. But what is our plan if A or 9 hits ? We check fold, check call, bet fold ?

What about a Q or J ?

What about a 7 ?

If a club hits on river, and we check(which I like to induce) and he bombs it(Pots) are we calling ?

I know a lot of different spots, but this hand is so common, really like to hear your thoughts here.

If you're talking about the river, I'd probably c/f on an A/9 (unless he bet small). Maybe block a Q/J/7 with a 1/2 pot bet, but check/evaluate is also a reasonable option.

On a club I'm check-calling any bet size (except a tiny bet, against which I might checkraise small and fold to a 3bet).

what do you guys think of min4betting pre?
isnt he pretty likely to just call with his rundowns and reraise with his aces every single time, allowing us to play near perfect against him?

I like it, so long as:
1) His range is wide enough to include lots of rundowns. If it's not, we're just handing him more $ without a chance to see a flop. When he 3bets our UTG open from the SB, I expect he has a pretty strong range.
2) He won't ever 5bet a non-AA hand. If we min-4bet, a smart player might recognize that we probably don't have aces ourselves, and might 5bet wider with ace-high rundowns or such things.

Hi
We have to think about the following :
If we shove in river with our KK**
.Could he call with AA**
If yes
.He could shove before us to get value
Else
high probality he dont have AA**
He checked (high probability he dont have AA**, due the high amount in the pot) we must highly think about value betting

Your logic on his range is not too bad, but the problem with value betting is that there just aren't many worse hands (if any) that he'll call us with. I think he's more likely to have AA and check river (for some strange reason) than to have QQ or worse and decide to c/c.

That being said, if we bet really small we can probably squeeze a curious call out of more of his nonsense hands. We do open ourselves up to a checkraise though, and that isn't really something I'd like to see unless I know the guy can't help but bluff when given one last chance.
