KRANTZ tries his hand at some PLO. He discusses the hands, his opponent, and releases some teasers of the upcoming season.
Two months. Two million. No problem. That's Team Israel's goal for the summer in Vegas. Watch Jay help hit it. This ongoing series is an in-depth look at his life during the shooting of whitelime, flawless_victory, Ansky and KRANTZ's forthcoming reality TV show (filming in Vegas this summer and airing on G4 in late August). Jay will play and analyze hands he's actually playing while on television, using an aggressive bankroll management strategy to climb from 5/10 and 10/20 back to the nosebleeds. Can he make it? We have faith. They don't call him pr1nnyraid for nothin'.

I enjoyed the vid, but found it kind of annoying when you resized the window beyond what you were recording.

We only need to put 1/7th of our stack in preflop so even if he has aces, aren't our implied odds/ability to play post flop enough of an argument to make this a profitable call? Even if we assume he has exactly AAxx every time here we should still be calling with our well connected, suited hand...even with the ace in our hand. I could just be full of it though.
We have 31% equity preflop which sucks but when we hit a flop like this we have a whopping 58% equity. It seems like he overcommits himself with bare aces for this stack depth, maybe?
Do you/anyone think a better play on his part would have been to flat your 3bet given the weak nature of his aces and his inability to get a substantial part of the effective stacks in preflop, or do you think that he should just 4bet his aces here since most of the time we won't flop enough of a piece to continue and he will be able to take down a bigger pot on the flop?
I paused the video at that moment and didn't quite listen to the rest of that discussion of the hand, sorry if I am just reiterating what you talked about in the video.
great vid, could still see your cards so it was fine imo
I agree with delcrossb, not many minutes after I started to surf around looking for ugly-babies avatars and eventually shut down. Great resolution tho, but worthless second half of the video.

This
I enjoyed the vid, quite entretaining and some really good thought processing. I like how you accepted that while you lack the fundamentals, you can play from feel and intuition. The big value bet you made with two pair and had him call with lesser two pair was pretty awesome.
Obviously when you resized your screen it was pretty sucky since you couldn't see your stack size, but it wasn't unbearable. Just had to make some effort to keep track, and you covered him all the video, so I guess the effective stacks were always your opponents.
Also, try not to start looking for other games while you're making the video, it detracts the attention from the video. Otherwise, pretty awesome.
Sorry about the problem with the table, I did the video on my Mac and am not completely familiar with ScreenFlow, the program that does the screen capture... luckily the cards are still there, so bear with it, that's really all that matters in terms of content... but will make sure that doesn't happen again in the future. Sorry guys.

The hand where you river a straight on QJ478 w T9xx, I'm also curious to see what good PLO players would do in this spot if mastr donked the river or if he check-raised. I'm just trying to switch over from NL and I'm really lost in that spot.
Also, when you call 4bets oop, you seem to donk the flop very often when you have a piece. Could you please explain when it is better to donk vs crai?

I think you might get AA or KK to make an incorrect fold on occasion. There's also the idea that when you flop a huge hand against someone who doesn't only 4-bet AA (or does, for that matter), you don't let them check back and get away. Seems like it depends on the player. I'd almost always check really dry boards, though.
I'm no expert...but felt you played like your hands were face up.
Bet weak with weak hands, strong with strong hands and check back
every weak hand u had OOP.
Be careful with your betting amounts as they were huge tells.
Hope this helps.
Would be nice to see a HU PLO series with You and Emil. Think about it?
