What's the correct flop play here?
Since I called, I was correct to bet the turn for protection?

With a player to act, no backdoor flush draw and not even a gutshot, I'm tempted to fold to the flop bet. We'll also have bad relative position on the new aggressor if the CO comes along.
On the turn I think we definitely have to bet for value. While a set is possible for one of the villains, I think we have to get value from any low straight draws and diamonds (or gladly fold them out). River is awful so obvious check.

I would bet bigger on the turn, which is perfectly standard.
The flop call is quite close given position, though you do have the advantage of all two pair outs being relatively clean. It's hard to know how good it is without knowing much about the BB's donking range 3-way, but because he didn't make it closer to pot it probably isn't as strong as a set.
