I think leading is definitely fine in either scenario. You'd want good enough reads on the opponents to know if you can fold to a raise though, especially on the two-tone board (will this opponent raise a flush draw?).

Yeah, on a 2tone board I'd be much more likely to lead because I expect to get called by much more worse hands than on a rainbow board. Additionally protection becomes a concern.
However on a rainbow board I don't think I can get more than two streets of value from worse, if that. Wouldn't it be better to potcontrol one street and make sure to now certainly get two streets out of worse straights, sets, maybe even some 2pairs and one street out of turned draws?
I just feel like betting out into 4 people looks insanely strong and if we get called in one or two spots what do we do on the turn? Betting into 4 and betting into 3 on the turn kinda turns our hand into a bluff, right?
Additionally getting checkraised on the flop is tough as well. I think we can fold, though, because I don't expect any of them to raise a FD on this board unless it's a huge one willing to raise/call it off.
Btw: How come you're already PLO expert? Haven't you just started learning PLO in the 2x6 series with Vanessa one year ago? Seems pretty sick if you ask me
