First hand at the table, stats aren't loaded yet.
I think check/folding the river is fine here since the T
is so horrible. However this spot does come up a lot and I'm not sure if folding is always the best solution. How would you play the following river cards given that the player is unknown:
6
T
?
PL Omaha $0.50(BB) Replayer
SB ($50)
Hero ($50)
UTG ($51.90)
UTG+1 ($50)
CO ($93.40)
BTN ($41.06)
Dealt to Hero 9
K
4
J
UTG raises to $1.75, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $1.25
FLOP ($3.75) 9
K
4
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.50, Hero raises to $4, UTG calls $3.50
TURN ($11.75) 9
K
4
2
Hero bets $8, UTG calls $8
RIVER ($27.75) 9
K
4
2
T
Hero checks, UTG bets $13.25, Hero folds
UTG wins $26.50

Is this standard to call an UTG with this hand? Seems like you get yourself in a lot of RIO situations given your draws wont really be the nuts.
True but its a single raised pot so it doesn't havee to be as nutty. It's still a double suited connected hand.

I'd also say this is a fold pre-flop when you're OOP, particularly against a UTG range. I would not describe this as a "connected hand" - your three high cards have gaps and you have a dangler. Also none of your FDs are to the nuts.
Contrary to what you say about draws in a single raised pot not needing to be as nutty, I think this is fundamentally wrong. The lower the SPR post-flop, the less nutty your draws need to be. When the stack to pot ratio is high (or when deeper - same concept) your draws DO need to be nutty.
Post-flop, your play looks fine but I think the pre-flop play will often get you into trouble.

I don't really mind that the FDs aren't to the nuts I can see that the hand could use some more connectedness.

Yeah, I meant to say a HU pot.
