I'm linking to weaktight.com because DC keeps rejecting all my ipoker hands (I've tried "copy with
stats and all the proposed tricks).
So, this guy was just a psycho whale and we had a bit of a dynamic going. I really didn't get a read
that he would call big river bets light until this hand though
I'm still laughing my ass off about what he
looked me up with. Getting a call like this has to be considered some kind of rungood!

I fold to his flop raise. Bottom pair + non nut gutshot oop.
Yeah, I very rarely splash around with such bad equity but (a) I wasn't hitting boards very well against this player, (b) there had been a super long dynamic where he was raising just about every cbet I had made, and (c) we were very deep and I thought I could float and make a play at him later in the hand (which I tried to do and somehow won with a pair of deuces and a better kicker lol). It may have been a very spewy spot to try and make some sort of stand but I also felt that this was a case of needing to try and take some money off a big fish before some of the other solid players at the table emptied his stack.
Like I said, it's probably spewy, but the result was pure comedy imo! haha

He was a really bad fish, but I didn't expect him to be so bad as to call me with bottom pair on that runout.
but you did expect him to fold all straights, 2p & sets when the runner runner flush hits ?

No, but I also didn't think those were a big part of his range based on the way he was playing. All of his raises and bets were as polarized as one could imagine. If he happened to have those hands, so be it. Otr my hand didn't beat much and was hoping to fold out hands like busted draws with some sort of middling pair. Obviously my read that he'd fold that much was wrong and luckily I came out unscathed. I adjusted my play accordingly for the rest of the match.
Anyway, I have been experimenting with various lines and in one (probably very spewy spot), this gem of a hand was born. Am I the only one who finds J2 vs A2 hilarious here? lol

Oh and btw, after you do call the flop, I think you must lead this turn! Why would you wanna check-call?
My plan was to check raise it but I then decided to listen to my inner pussy. (edit: no sexism intended. I just listened to what I thought my cat would do).

bluffing a player who is tilting and or thinks you are messing with him and trying to barrel him off hands is suicide.
Just because I played bad, as I admitted several times in this thread, doesn't make the hand any less funny to me.

I think the turn is pretty interesting, tbh. Probably check-folding vs this sort of player is best, but I could easily see starting to fire here since we got some outs, can rep a straight, and have some nasty rivers to barrel (like the one that actually hit).
But check-calling is bad. Since you put a bet in anyways, I think you must put it in first to get some folds. Tought to get a fold by check-calling
