Poker Stars $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 5 players - View hand 1814757

Hero (BTN): $83.87
SB: $5.53
BB: $19.08
UTG: $10.83
CO: $51.24

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN with A Club T Club 7 Heart T Diamond
1 fold, CO raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.75) 9 Diamond 8 Heart 2 Heart (2 players)
CO bets $2.36, Hero calls $2.36

Turn: ($8.47) 4 Heart (2 players)
CO bets $5.50, Hero raises to $13.50

This is from the 8-game mix. Villain is weakish TAG, as far as I can tell.

Should I be worried, that I'm raising this turn for value pretty much only with the nuts? (Should I raise with the nuts?)

Comments on the other streets are welcome.

Trying to get low stakes players off flushes isn't often that great an idea (although doing it w/ raises >>> just betting down). Doing this w/o a blocker to a big flush (the K or, preferably, the A), not to mention near 0% equity vs. his calling range seems just a touch spewy. You have no reason to believe he doesn't have it and therefore little reason to cling about (you said he's TAG so his range is probably pretty strong here).

Honestly, if you'd simply not put chips in at any point you'd probably have come out better here. The preflop call is, I would say, light. The flop call is just about ok so long as he is passive and you can take it on many turns. The turn I've discussed and don't really like.

I don't try to raise him off a flush, though. I figured, he'd continue to bet most of the time on this turn when he doesn't have a flush (and might actually check-call some flushes). With a tight preflop range, he shouldn't be too strong on this board. With that said, I don't have any prove that he would actually play that way, so my assumptions could be way off.

My feeling is that most villains, especially weak TAGs, will not barrel this card super wide as your perceived range includes a lot of flushes (although it also includes a large number of hands you'd fold to a barrel). However, if your read says he barrels super wide here then a raise should show a pretty decent profit.

Why would you say the flat on the bttn is light?
TT can flop sets not great sets but still. We have good nutequity with our atcc. And most important, we are on the bttn. SB and BB seem like fish given their stacksizes.

I would fold if there were active 3bettors in the blinds though.

Because the hand really doesn't do that much for me. TT isn't an exciting pair as it's quite hard to make a set and be supremely happy getting money in. The AT and T7 combos aren't wonderful because they make so few straights (although at least they can make them). The only part we are really pleased with is the AcTc, but sadly we often won't flop a lot to go with it and it'll therefore make getting aggro w/ our nut flush draw less profitable (we'll be relying more heavily on fold equity). I don't think calling is necessarily bad, but I do think this is near the bottom of our range (if indeed we're playing it at all).
