I might barrel a 6 too since many players won't check the turn with a naked/vulnerable nut straight and a low SPR. You can put their flush/2pr/straight draws in a bad spot when they've got middling equity.
Also, I would often check back a 7 or 8 with SPRs lower than 2 here, but bet if it were higher.

I don't like checking back a board pairing turn, I'd rather bet small and hope he spazzes if he's on the wrong level and thinks we are trying to buy a good turn card for our range with a small bet and has FE, or that he is on the level where he just gets super pissed off with the idea of folding to a quarter pot bet he decides to just ship it in with whatever 0%er he has.
The reason being is that many where villain whiffed and its a blank, it will be a situation they will hardly ever bluff because we are perceived to be able to easily snap off with AA on the river anyway, given they have so many missed draws.
Meanwhile, if the board does fill out a draw they tend to go into a check/call bluff catchery mode anyway because they are terrible at value betting flushes/straights on board pairs.
Also there is just a lot of stuff like TT-KK that we don't really gain anything from with our slowplay.
I would prefer checking back if we had a draw and we hit the draw on the board changing turn and it gives the opponent the chance to opportunity to rep the draw with all his 0%ers on the river, given that it's a hard spot for us to call with AA or whatever.
