No real reads beyond this being his first 3-bet (<30 hand sample) , sorry. Very unsure of how I played this so all comments welcome. In case anyone's interested, these were value bets.

Not sure about the flop check raise that much without knowing how he's going to respond to it. I prefer keeping his range super wide and letting him barrel. A lot of people will barrel twice in this situation because they are the aggressor and we are perceived to have a lot of fd's/weak hands.

Good points. I was granting villain my own thought process and how hero's line looks like BS since he should almost never have a 4 in his range for calling a 3-bet cold. I was thinking he'll always be calling our check-raise with any showdown value or FD and playing the turn, maybe even re-semi-bluff worse clubs. A lot of those hands he would check back the turn with if we call. There's no guarantee that's how he's thinking, though, so c/c and letting him barrel is probably best. Us check-raising also folds out all his total whiffs which we don't want.

Depends on how the board runs out but readless I might give respect and fold the river given that a lot of fish and regs dont triple barrel much, especially as we can play 4x this way by calling twice.
I'm fine with calling though because in general I don't think opponent has that many hands and has a lot of air like rundowns between T and 4, K high hands that just missed etc.
In general though we probably won't see that many triple barrels.
Note it's also fine if he checks back turn and we can pretty comfortably get a value bet when the board is safe because it looks like we are bluffing missed clubs, especially from something like another overpair that pot controlled but also top pairs.

I check/raised small 'cas I thought it looked like a bluff a lot (it was a smallish c/r) and expected to get action from a ton of overpairs which obviously do AWFUL against me (with KKxx being the largest part of the range of someone who appears not to c/r a lot whilst I hold AAxx).
