Villain is unknown over 8 hands. This is the 1st hand he played. Cb flop is standard, give up turn is standard. He can have fd's, sd's, Ax given his flat otf & subsequent check on the turn.
If he bet less I'd be less inclined to call cause he reps a wider range of 2p+sets that got scared ott & are now betting for thin value. But the fact that he pots when there's over 9000 missed draws nearly takes all the Ax/2p/sets out of his range.
He polarizes himself to an unlikely 34 that's panicking cause they missed value ott (in my experience when bad players make straights they ALWAYS bet when there's a fd on board cause they're so afraid of getting sucked out on)
Or bluffs with missed draws. I think this is a decent spot given my above thoughts, but it so rarely comes up that it's worth the line check!

Thanks as always!

I'd say he also has KK and 2pairs / sets (less likely) in his range that somehow where afraid to vbet the turn
and I think a lot of draws just bet the turn when checked to, although this line isnt that uncommon for bad players to play their draws imo

I don't agree any post flop street is that standard necessarily.

I can see checking back the flop and going for a delayed c-bet.
When you cbet the flop you only want calls from draws, right. so why not fire the turn too if you go that route, and you could also calll it a bluff versus one pair Axxx hands?

And I fold the river, looks like a value bet. Sure. all the draws missed but why not put that $1.34 in on the turn vs them? Gotta also keep in mind, many of the draws may be nut flush draw, that also makes two pair, since this looks like a possibly TAG player. I expect to see AKxx here often.
