Villain is 12/9/3.3 reg. Good player. I just squeezed a couple hands before without getting called. Same two players were in the hand.

On the turn I figured the Ace was an action killer, so I thought it best to show weakness to induce a bluff. River shove was me trying to look desperate.

Did I play this alright?

I don't like the river shove. I think you are missing value here by not just betting 1/2-3/4 of the pot. No draws missed so in a Reraised pot even if he has KK i think he will easily fold. The only thing calling you there is maybe AK and a set. If he has a lower set he would proably shove over your bet.

Yeah definitely 1/2 pot on the river here.

Is the turn check okay?

Oh yeah. Act 'scared' that you saw that Ace. Give him a chance to bet on the river.

I also think betting the turn is fine also.

Your effective shove on the river is only $134 into $176. As for the hand, I'd just go ahead and jam the turn against a normal 200nl FR reg.

looks fine until river, I do think you should just 1/2 pot it though. He simply can't have a hand big enough to call a shove here very often, unless he thinks you're overly aggressive. If you were bluffing with air, you'd barrel the turn, right?

Yep. Seems so apparent now that I'm not in the hand. Smile
