2-5 NL at DBKC near midnight. At DBKC buy in is 200-500 with players from a broken ta5 ble allowed to bring their chips. Play is nine handed the hero had brought in 5 or 6 hands earlier for 300 and had 450 stack.

Seat 1 - 700
Seat 2 - 800
Seat 3 - Hero -450 Button
Seat 4 - 200 SB
Seat 5 500 BB
Seat 6 Villain -1500
Seat 7 500
Seat 8 300
Seat 9 Walking

Villain who is an aggressive TAG opens for 30, Seat 7 calls, Hero smooth calls on button.
Flop: 9S, 5S, 4C

Villain bets 100, Seat 7 folds and Hero shoves. Villain calls, two bricks and Villain takes pot with JCJD.

I am interested in critique and also some alternate lines of play.

I think if you dont think you can squeeze get it in pre, then shoving flop is maybe too thin?

Fold preflop. Flop jam is fine. You lost the coinflip.

To give an idea of how short your effective stack was in the hand, you only had 90 bb to start the hand and were facing a 6x raise preflop. The pot was 19.5 bb before the flop came out and your villain bet out 20 bb. You have very limited postflop play in that scenario. You got a pretty ideal flop for your hand, but you had very little fold equity when it was your turn to act on the flop. Live players are going to play JJ like this a lot and they are not folding to a shove from your stack size. The way to exploit that is to not call preflop with weak hands.

Most definitely going to fold pre here. As played getting all the money in on the flop is good.
