Villian is a 13/10 over 1.3k hands, steals BU 36% and folds to 3B 79%. Fold to re-steal 86%. CB 75% and has raised a donk bet 2 out of 3 times. So I choose not to 3B because he folds pretty much everything I dominate. Think I should donk the flop instead?

Hero checks, GOOD IDEA TO CK AND PICK UP HIS CB?

I would check/call flop and if he barrels again, check/call turn too and on river donk for value and fold to a raise.

If he has hands like AJ/AQ he probably barrels 2 streets for value but they would check the river back prolly. But then again if they have something that beats you, they would probably raise you, hence donk/fold.

But if he checks back the turn, I'd try to get some value on river too. (from worse aces or possibly 2nd pairs.)

Don't know if this is a good way to play it though. Thoughts?

I would 3bet preflop despite his high fold to resteal. This hand is at the top of your value range, and button vs. bb against another regular, his range for calling or 4betting should be sufficiently wide. As played, I would just check/call here because check raising looks like a set or 2 pair or a bluff, so he will just fold weaker hands usually. By calling, he may put you on a straight draw or Ten or weak ace, and continue bluffing the turn, or betting a worse hand for value on the turn.
