let me ask why you 3bet pre then? combine his tight continuing range and the tight opening range you suggest for the other player, and your hand isn't doing so hot
as far as when i do this stuff...it becomes pretty quick and natural. it probably takes me a lot longer to articulate it than it takes me to process it

Good point, I realise I'm most likely better off just calling there pre. I was just wondering what I could have done better on flop and apparently fold to a bet after checking.
Anyway, thanks for helping me, think I learned some new ways to learn more now.

PS. Semi-off-topic: Do you think like this in the middle of the game or is it something you do afterwards? Seems kinda hard to think these through in matter of seconds, but maybe players get more fast with them with practice or maybe it's more of a rough estimation during multi-tabling.
Terp already answered this a little bit, but the more you will post hands, work on ranges, do EV calculations and work with tools like stove, the easier it will be for you to come to a conclusion quickly when at the table, or at least have a good idea of the best possible line to take in a given situation. So, time and hard work!
