no need to raise for protection, just C/C it down and take a note, its an unknown etc (think u mentioned later that u didnt like the raise)

0:14 KK vs the limpreraise on Axxx i think u have to call the turn atleast, agreed that they are Ace heavy but still its an unknown and limpreraising is fishy

0:24 AKo that u flat pre.. i think u gotta call the river cause of the way the hand went down, also its an unknown

hmm now that i think about it, i might be calling down way too much vs unknowns lol

one more thing, im not sure if i have mentioned this in a previous video but i have thought about it atleast, i feel u give up some good opening spots fearing a 3bet from various players (havent really seen any crazy 3betting) so u end up folding a decent hand in decent spot, but maybe theres is alot of history that we dont know about, and it might also be that im a 6max player so i overvalue some spots

anyway keep up the good work!

I actually think this is a strength of my game. I'm aware of players that have high 3betting tendencies. A lot of times that I'm mentioning it means that I know the player will 3-bet a reasonably high %. I also think it's easy to end up opening too wide in the HJ, CO, BTN with active players on your left. Simultaneously, I think it's easy to play too tight in those positions when there aren't active players on your left. In some of the videos I just recorded I find myself at some tables where people aren't very active on my left, and you'll see me open significantly wider from LP.

The player should be active on both the side, sometimes the only one sided players are active.

25:25--Why is cbetting QQ on AKx board +EV? Are you turning your hand into a bluff?

Why is it -EV? Do you think he folds sometimes? How often? Do you think checking tells him what you have and do you think that is higher EV than picking up the pot and hiding information about your hole cards?

30:00- Table 3 with AJs, you said you sometimes 3 bet this hand. Would it be a 3bet/fold? What makes you decide to flat it vs 3bet it?
Did you consider raising the flop?

If I decided to 3b this hand vs a known TAG it would typically be a 3b/5b. Vs a loose passive it would typically be a 3b/fold. Vs most TAGs I'd flat before I 3b/5b.

I don't like raising the flop with this hand because it has a decent amount of turn cards it can hit anyways, so I can always do things like double-float and raise the turn. I'd tend to raise the flop with hands that don't often do me much good to have in my turn range anyways. I have plenty of hands like that since I flatted OTB, so I wouldn't bother to do it with AJs+BDFD because I'll win up very unbalanced without a good reason to do it. Vs this guy I'd tend to raise stuff like one overcard+BDFD and perhaps gutshots. Those are often to start to establish an idea about how this guy will handle raises here. Will he BF too much? BC too much? If I can find an unbalanced strategy then I can actually start to win some money from the guy. If I find that he BF's a lot, then maybe we just start raising the flop here, as well. That's an unbalanced strategy, and we can exploit it by unbalancing our own.

Hi Threads, wondering if there's any way to avoid getting stacked on this hand. 3 bet pre obv. standard, cbet standard. Could you bet/fold the turn? If you check/ call the turn, are there any rivers you could ever fold getting such good pot odds? Thanks man, really enjoying these vids.

I should specify "is there any way to avoid getting stacked as played to the flop?"

I really don't like my line in this hand very much... I think B/F'ing the turn is fine.
