Agreed you don't really have any choice but to confusion call against an unknown here. Think the biggest adjustment you should be making is to start 3x opening (especially now that he's full stacked :S) and just remember that he may lead some strong vulnerable hands on the turn.

I was thinking that if he's folding so much then there's really no reason to want to 3b/5b 66. If you reads on his postflop play at all then I think it should be a flat.

Easy fold imo. Giving a random dude at 50nl credit for trying to move you off of JJ+, Ax and stronger, 78, QJ, and flush draws is a pretty strong read. Definitely looks tough because he does probably x/r 55 and TT and maybe AT/A5 earlier in the hand, however I think it's more likely he slowplays some set or two pair than that he looks at KT or QJ and does anything but call or fold it. Even in 2012 people just aren't x/r bluffing the river that often.

yeah, unknown + wierdo line + tons of draws missed + i have a great bluff catcher + pot odds = couldnt fold imo

his 4bet % is actually pretty high, he has a sorta high fold to 3bet% because he rarely flats 3bets, he mostly 4bets or folds i think. even so i think he is a marginal candidate to 3b/5b 66 in that spot

Biggest tilt video i have ever watched. Really surprised this was posted for learning.

how about some constructive criticism? or bringing up any plays I could defend. vague negativity doesn't really help anyone.

I will bring up a few hands if that is what i am expected to do, demostrating tilted decision making and overall poor quality teaching. This leads me onto the following:

Do you watch the video back before you post it?
Does DC actually review the video before it is posted?

If you watch it back, you will notice you are clearly tilted. You actually become more tilted as the video goes on. That is below par teaching and not what i expected from you as a coach on DC.

B-Rye88 makes very valid points.

'I dont know....Im calling'

Sorry, but wtf is that all about?

He clearly has you beat. Fish like never bluff c/r this river, so why are you calling this?
Im not in love with the 3/4 thin vbet on the river. I think an underbet gets called more often here.
I like $3.20 or so.

In this hand, you also seem to be putting a thinking players thought process into your opponents thought process. Fish do not have a logical thought process...

I also think think the term 'Initiative' is fairly redundant nowadays. It is a word that is thrown about which really has little meaning most of the time. It should be about making the most +EV play, regardless of whether you have the 'initiative' or not.

I hate to join in on the hate, but I actually have to agree with Buby.

I remember watching this video 3 months ago and getting to the 1/2 way point before saying to myself that there was very little to learn here. Your tone of voice was very self-defeating. Just listen to yourself on AdKh on AhJx8h Jh Qo (somewhere around midpoint).

I kind of wish someone had been sweating you, because then there actually could have been a very good conversation on tilt management.

Just listening to the vid while I write this, at 33:37 you sound utterly uninterested with the idea of trying to analyze ranges or player tendencies.

Don't take this like a ton of hate, I don't think anyone can say you're a bad player or even bad at controlling tilt, and your content is usually very good. This effort just got derailed by tilt imo.

alright I appreciate the comments guys I will check out those spots. i must admit i was enduring a very long downswing around when I made this video. maybe i was in a bad mindset overall when I played this session, and I apologize for that. i'm sorry if you felt your time was wasted - overall I had very positive feedback for the series, I guess this one was not up to par though.

There's another timestamp for some tilt.

yeah i guess, a moment's grumbling about missing a royal flush draw. dont think that tilted me though.

I mean, it seemed like such a standard spot I didn't feel the need to extrapolate a range. It seemed like such an easy call 2, fold to 3 I guess I didn't feel it needed much discussion. It's HU vs a random probably fishy opponent, and he is donking half pot on Kxx with a flush and straight draw out there. I can only fold the flop if I feel he has solely Kx+ in his range, which would be absurd. I think my tone is too casual sometimes but it wasn't a matter of being uninterested in analyzing my opponent's range, I just thought his range was indeterminate, but clearly wide enough that folding isn't an option. I will try to be more thorough in explaining my decisions in future videos.
