Hi.
This hand confused me a bit, was not sure what his range is on the river here. I called the turn c/r because I thought he would be more likely to just bet a set/2pair on this wet board. Thus skewing his range towards draws and bluffs. The reason I folded the river was that I thought my range looked very likely to have and ace, thus I am unlikely to fold to this small bet on the river, so it is less often a bluff.
Looking back I think he would be more likely to bet big on the river so I call it off with my trips, but perhaps he thinks I raise this and often raise a missed draw. What do you think his range is here?
Villain is 15/13, cbet 70 flop 47 turn raise turn 18%

About the only hand I can see someone taking this line with is AcXc. I guess it's possible that it's 9c8c or something and the river bet is just to fold out higher high-card hands that stuck around for draws on the turn, but AcXc seems a lot more likely.

First, 3-bet preflop. The flop is not one that hits a ton of hands. You're going to proceed if you have clubs or ane Ace and not a ton else. On the turn, you're way ahead of most hands, vulnerable to clubs, and way behind all Aces. Clubs not make up much of his range here, so it seems a good spot to check behind the turn. I mean, what are you really going to get value from by betting?
When he check raises you, he has you beat unless he thinks your floating light and you two don't have much history. So any reasonable check raise range makes the hand a fold.
I don't like your play in this hand.

3betting pre would pretty clearly be overrepping our hand given positions.
The reason I don't check back the turn is because I feel like people only really take the bet/check/bet line for thin value so calling the river would probably not be +EV. Though I guess betting doesn't really get called by much worse here.

Then check back and fold to a river bet.

when a MP opens, and QQ cannot 3b, what can we 3bet and still not just have the nuts? I like to 3 bet MP opens with this range all day long. You build a pot in position, you discourage overcalls, neither of which can be bad.
I check back the turn as well. What do you beat that calls?

well, if u float a lot in his eyes, he could take this line even with TPTK.
also sets in his range, c/r turn in attempt to put more money in the pot versus ur toppairs ( or once again, getting money from ur floats, maybe flush, straight draws).
dont think he ever bluffing in such spot on turn. according to stats, he is a standard tag and
with draws he more likely would cbet turn tryng to fold ur floats or 2nd pairs.
c/r makes no sence with bluffs/semibluffs. it is expensive bluff and he always should continue it on river if he missed.
furthermore, he would value bet bigger with set on river, so on the river more likely he is betiing with trips for thin value.
