He did flop a gutter though?
Turned extra outs, I don't find it that hard to believe IMO.
Don't you hate it when your opponents make a ton of mistakes? I just wish everyone played correctly. That would help me win.
Oh wait...
if trav turned over his T9 on the flop, villain should play his hand 100% the same way.
from reading his posts, i'm also pretty sure he was snap check/folding a heart river to a shove so villain has some good river bluffing opportunities.
I'm shocked Joe Tall hasn't piped in with an Eightfold Path link yet, but here you go. The Eightfold Path to Poker Enlightenment
Understand that you played your hand well and your opponent played poorly. Your actions were correct, while his were entirely out of your control. Poker isn't a game of certainties and you will occasionally lose by pure chance, even when you make all the right decisions. You can't control that outcome; rather, you can only control your reaction and analysis of the outcome.
Ask yourself a few questions. Why are you so angry about this hand? Is it purely emotional? Is it the money that's important? Do you just hate losing to some "donk/fish"? Figure out what exactly is causing you to react so angrily, then find a solution.

This hand in particular was not my overall point. OP wishes people would fold when they don't have proper odds to call, among other mistakes. He gets upset when people make the same mistakes that make him money when they happen to get lucky.
I really don't get, how the eightfold path to poker enlightenment seems to be the most recommendet serres around here. I gave it a try, watched the first 3 episodes, and I have to say, not only is the co commentor the most annoying guy in the world, but also is there really not that much info/advice in there. Mostly it's just two guys (who probably are good players, don't get me wrong), setting each other up for reeeeeally bad jokes, then take about 30 sec to feel good about it. I've defenitely watched alot of great vids on deuces, but the eightfold way was by far the worst.
Just my two cents.

i know, just found it ironic.

It's not for everyone. You have to be in the right kind of mindset to appreciate its full value. It's kind of like yoga or meditation. Maybe you'll watch it 5 years from now and look at it different. Or maybe not ![]()
this happens to me atleast twice a day...not sick..normal variance
^^^^ This
As has been commented, make a note on this (obvious) fish and exploit him all over the place. Then you will be happy and not wishing to skydive.. (No offense to sky divers) .. ![]()
hero plays 1/2 and has 140$,is that your whole BR and are you pissed because of that?
I do not want to lose even one hand! Not one dime! I am a winner! I will NEVER accept losing!
Never!
I see donks losing 5 buyins in a roll because they wont ever laydown 78 suited or pocket 99's.
If you guys call that +EV then keep on doing it cuz it's definitely why poker is still so profitable.
OP, I have to retract my statement in the other thread that you should quit poker. Your posts make for such great reading. It's like watching a 100 car pileup, you know you shouldn't look, but you can't help yourself. It's really quite remarkable. You've managed to tilt half of the DC community in less than 50 posts. It probably took mitch and tecmo at least 100.
quit your moaning op. this is a proper station
