What site is this on- Lock? I know Matt Stout is a Lock Pro.... Think he is more of a tourney guy but not sure. Great vid. Good seeing vids on merge and lock for a change from stars since us US guys are now forced to play on merge.
Ny bad- now see it is Black Chip Poker )
Do you recommend playing this tight in live games. Exs folding small pairs to raises sometimes and open folding suited connectors in early to mid position. Is this style more for playing against these tight internet players or would you also play that way in a juicy live setting? Thanks a lot.
Hi unclejim, since youre 1 -tabling live I think you should put a huge emphasis on reads. If the table is playing super loose, you will probably want to play very tight in early and middle position. If the table is tight/weak, you can loosen up accordingly. In online full ring games, folding weak suited connectors in ep/mp is standard, and cold calling with weak pocket pairs from ep/mp is often bad

Hand when u fold 66 to a 26/15 hmmm... I think 3bet is better here, I mean his range is super wide
Why do you fold AJ ?
Pretty standard for me to fold AJo in early position in full ring

that opponent is actually a regular, the 26/15 is bc of a small sample, his real stats are probably more standard over a long sample. even if he were a 26/15 over a long run, I wouldn't be 3betting his EP raises with 66 from MP. Such a player I would expect to call my 3bet a lot, and 66 doesn't play well in that situation. The only time I want to 3bet someone with 66 is when they 4bet/fold a lot.
sorry a couple guys and myself worked pretty hard on redoing most of the popups not sure they want to share the config with everyone
Enjoyed the video, after watching alot of TubaSteve videos and WiltonTilt, it seems you are bet sizing is much different. WiltonTilt seems to want 75% of pot bets and I see in this video you were doing some 1/3 pot and 40 or 45% size bets. Can you explain why you do those small bets vs the other 2 coaches who want more of the 2/3rd and 75% value betting size.

I think it's just a stylistic difference to some degree. I doubt that their postflop sizings are static, I try to make mine dynamic. That means tailoring your size to the situation and opponent. Sometimes betting 3/4 pot is a big mistake, as it is sometimes when you bet 1/3 pot. Learning when to bet which amounts well is a complicated discussion.
