I doesn't seem like a game like that would be beatable.

I think that he should either raise more or just call. He's basically pricing me into my draw and players like this will never fold with these stacks when they flop the nuts. I've also seen really bad bet sizing on the turn which allows your opponent to again correctly call and take the rest of your stack on the river.

I hope to see you make videos in the future playing against good live reg. Regarding the poket 4s hand around 25:00, would you value bet thin there against a reg. Furthermore, is it exploitable for regs to reraise you on the river when you make those smallish bets on the river.

I would definitely bet this hand against the a reg. Its incredibly rare for guys to bluff raise rivers even if they are competent players at this level. You can follow my twitter @barthanson for some up dates about upcoming training material.

Even vs rec player, if it doesn't fold around to you are you folding this hand pre? Thought process is anyone in the field giving you heavy action likely is coolering you

In this hand, you go on and on that your opponent is playing his hand face up & he's going to get folds from pretty much everything that doesn't necessarily have him crushed. But what do you think of his play as a "bluff-raise"? Since your read on him states that hes going to be super strong here. What if he makes this raise with air & gets hands like 99, TT, A8 & so on to fold & if he gets resistance as in in a call or a re-raise, he can muck his hand knowing that his opponent has a monster with minimal cost. This line (in my opinion) can take down the pot without having the best hand, not have to bet 2 or 3 streets & get called down with a hand that would normally fold to the 3bet. I would't necessarily use this line often, but what do you think of it (if used very minimally), especially when your read on your opponent is him having an over pair?

I'm not sure why you would want to bluff raise air here when most players in my spot are not going to fold QQ+ in a 3 bet pot on an 8 high board. It may work against me specifically but these guys' lines come from playing against "normal" opponents. Theyre not adjusting to the actual players in the hand.

Having a gameplan of bluff checkraising in 3 bet pots in in live passive games is definitely going to be -ev over the longterm.

I completely agree... In loose passive games this would definitely not be a line I would take. I wasn't necessarily implying that this play would be for a loose passive game. I'm used to tables with smart thinking tags who often switch gears & are all winning players. So since this was the thought process in your head at the time (which makes complete sense), I was just seeing if you would agree that this would be the same general thought process of most thinking players. Therefore, in situations such as those, do you think that this a line that can be used on a very limited basis with a positive expected value?

I normally play on the east coast at The Borgata, but I'll be in Cali all of next week & will be at Commerce for the most part. I've been seeing you label 80% of the players your playing with as losing players & that hasn't really been the case out here lately. Its been much harder finding +ev tables during the week. So see you there if your there & was also wondering if there was anywhere else you'd recommend playing 5/10 in that area? I'm not too big a fan of Commerce. Just their Mongolian Beef.

I dont understand. So you're saying a shutout bet, designed to take down a pot right then and there is never a good idea? Each time you bet it should be to get worse hands to call or better hands to fold? In other words value bet or bluff/semi bluff or dont bet at all? Check raises to build up the pot before taking it down when u feel ur ahead is bad?? How do you distinguish between a shut out bet, an over-rep, blowing out ur value, playing ur hand face-up, or protecting your hand??

How would you have played this hand? Considering everything you know about this hand, holdings, turn, river, etc. How do you envision this hand playing out if you were in the reg's shoes and not making that horrible play?

First hand your cbet is probably a mistake since stacks are short and 2 of the 3 players have a pretty tight range. c/c flop is probably better for two reasons, 1) its more profitable since you are getting raised >50% of the time, 2) No one will put you on a K high flush draw since they expect you to always bet the flop.
