IN the first hand when villain has KQ and flops straight. If you were him, what would you do differently?

Would you (if you were him) float the 100$ flop bet instead of reraising, hoping the other two players get in the pot?

What do you think of Big Guy not raising AKs preflop?

And, what would you have done on the river if he called and not reraised your turn bet? (providing it was a river blank like 2h)

Was disappointed to see that this was the same ol HH review. Overall OK vid, did find some concepts that are pretty basic.

Hope the rest of the series will really focus on playing live poker instead of poker fundamentals for micro stakes.

Still think Bart produces some of the better content for DC. Bring back the live play please. As I mentioned in the previous episode thread, use other player hands if you do not have enough footage of your own LATB play. Thank you.

p.s. No O8 stuff pls.

this format is great, too, but i prefer the live footage. as a bonus, for those who haven't played much live, it can be helpful just to see the expressions/posture/etc at a typical cash game.

My only criticism is that it should be 2 hours instead of 1. As theres only 4 or 5 hands in an episode, its easy to focus on and concentrate. With an online 4 or 6 table review, its a lot harder to take in the information.

Live footage is better for sure.

i think the hands might not be terribly complex, but they all raise a lot of issues for players new to live poker. bart talks about a lot of live specific tendencies in very good depth.

personally, i really liked the live footage and the commentary, but the HH review is great too. i'm just delving into O8 so i'd definitely be interested in seeing some hands of that. great series, keep it coming!

re: results oriented

you use the term correctly (it would be results oriented to hate your call when he had a hand you expected to be in his betting range) but i think a lot of people misunderstand it.

for instance, if you saw him bet Qx, to say your call becomes bad is not 'results oriented' in the pejorative sense - you have learned information that contradicts an assumption you made. however, to see AK and immediately hate your call would be results oriented, since we haven't learned anything about his frequencies (well, possibly a SMALL bit since i am not sure you included AK in his river range at all).

cliffs: results oriented = reevaluating decision based on opponent showing up with a hand we already expected to be in his range.

Would you still play live at 2/2 (100bb = 200) if the rake was 10$ with a cap of 10$?

If so, what sort of winrate do you think is possible?

(you get, that this is the case in my country)

Rake of 10% you mean?

Are you Australia?

I think that he should either raise more or just call. He's basically pricing me into my draw and players like this will never fold with these stacks when they flop the nuts. I've also seen really bad bet sizing on the turn which allows your opponent to again correctly call and take the rest of your stack on the river.

I never have a huge problem with flatting AK pre flop. If the river was a blank and he checked of course I would bet for value.
