BU vs B, up against a VERY winning 100NL reg at FTP. In the top 5 if not number 1 or 2.

Of course I open a wide range, and he re-steals accordingly. Then I make a bluffy-sized 4bet and a standard 1/2 pot cbet.

On the turn I figure a small bet looks as if it's a hand like JJ or QQ while a shove looks like overcards (AK, AQ esp.), small PP or air.

In other words my turn shove keeps my range the widest.

Agreed? I mean - is my reasoning through the hand mostly correct?

TY

I don't like the 4-bet size, kind of says "probably AA/KK, play accordingly" (you don't seem to want any FE with this size imo). I'd prefer $22-23 with my entire 4-bet range, it hangs out enough money that he might 5-bet bluff and will value 5-bet a good range too.

My actual preferred option (lacking 3-bet/4-bet dynamic) is to flat here, maybe make a small bluffy looking raise on the flop or other such shenanigans.

As played, it's hard because I think you have kind of tipped your hand a little so just about any betsize is going to look super strong so I'd go with the same sizes you do.
