I play online, but the raise, c-bet strategy that works online does not seem to work very well live. Live, players call raises very frequently and c-bets work a much lower % of the time. So, th at said, what adjustments does one make playing live? Open limp, or overlimp ever? C-bet less, double barrel more?

Just looking for some tips. Thanks!

CB less when you miss simply because there are in general more calling stations and more multi-way pots live(depends on the stakes of course)

i guess i should ask what stakes are you playing live and online??

I play a lot of 1/2 live which is the lowest in most if not all casinos, so there are all kinds of players playing all kinds of hands and often not in the folding mood.

I find that knowing the players and paying a lot of attention to what they are doing in hands I am not involved with helps find good spots. My experience has been, at least at the lower limits that isolating and picking up the blinds live isn't the way to go like it is online.

You image matters too don't forget...if you are playing snug and showing up with hands, you will get more credit with your raises and c bets than you will if you are playing a looser style and splashing around so keep that in mind.

I found live, even at solid tables, a lot of pf calling. 30 hands an hour, people want action. I play 700 hands per hour online, I can wait all day for a decent hand.

I think live starting hand values go up for sure.

Live FR I might call a raise AJo or AQo, ip or oop. Online they are mostly a fold unless I have other information on the raiser.
