Here you spoke about the benefits of raising 2.5x w/ the an aggressive 3 bettor in the blinds. (more inclined to flat and able to 3 bet smaller) Would you recommend that in general, the 2.5x?...say when you have someone who is a notorious 3bet punisher yet to act. Or are you worried about losing value on your value hands by not opening to a more standard size and conversely do you think that these villain types would be induced to 3 bet even lighter due to our 2.5x?

If I thought he was REALLY likely to 3b me (like this dude is 3betting me every other orbit... way over the top... that type of 3betting) I'd 2x it. I should probably actually do a spreasheet and/or CREV on this to show the difference in these different sizes as far as the 3b/4b/5b game goes.
I'm not worried about missing value because he's going to 3b me a lot.
Furthermore I only have AA ~1% of the time when I open OTB. I'm more concerned about making 40-50% more profitable than 1-5% slightly more profitable (if it matters at all).

By the way, is it me or is your HUD wayyyy smaller this video?
It's not just you. It's the same HUD but I was using a friend PC for the first 3 vids. Something with the screen resolution made it crazy big. I think it's cause I use a 28" monitor and his was a 22". So, the settings are the same but it's much more bareable here. Should like the same in the remaining episodes. I think I briefly mentioned something in one of the first episodes about how ridiculously big it is.

Nice explanation of 3b/4b/5b game. But what when we have a villain without notes/noticed showdowns. Is there a way to read ranges based on stats (3b,4b,5b)? Or its more guessing game? If its possible on which specific stats we should be focus and how to compare them?
I hope my question isnt too much fishy.

The main things that you want to look at is how often he 3-bets and folds to 4-bets.

nice video!
18:10--don't you think he would bet 88-77 for hand protection? He wouldn't know what to do if an overcard comes OTR.
I think he should bet 88 vs most people in this spot because everyone bets TT+ in my shoes. His 88 is pretty much the nuts and therefore he should bet and try to put me in a tough spot with my 66 type hands. I think protection isn't that great of an idea because what does he need to protect against that I'm checking?

Hi Threads. Great Vids! Concerning the guy who called the 3 bet w/ JJ, why can you 5 bet him wider? Is it because you feel his 4 bets are either AA, KK, and the majority a bunch of other stuff he'll fold, i.e. suited connectors and small pairs? Thanks!
Exactly. If he only has QQ+/AK in his 4b/call range then he only has 34 combos he'll get in it with. He has a few hundred combos of hands he may 4b/fold. So it's pretty easy to get him folding to a 5b 50%. If he folds that often then we can 3b/5b pretty wide.
