well, this is only my 5th time playing NL live. My reasons for betting the turn were to represent one of hte cards on the board, perhaps, perhaps not the 2.
reason I bet $15 is that although it looks weak in hindsight, live it is a decent sized bet. I knew it was a small bet relative to pot size, but wanted to use it as a combination of blocking bet/ or a a b/f to minimize my losses.
If i had checked, i expected the c- bet on turn to be higher, whether or not he had anything.

well, normally live players would not raise unless they had top pair beat (some would not need much of a kicker) but this opponent had just shown he was randomly aggro/spewy (I think his bet of 45 may be okay, but calling the shove for an additional $30 borderline insane)
I do think some players will make plays like this to induce action down the road, which is why I considered folding the flop.
I thought he could make this play with very strong hands like 2 pair, overpairs susceptible to overcards, or with draws. A min raise was scarier to me than a larger one, but I then leveled myself into thinking maybe he wanted to make a cheaper bluff.
When the 2 came on the flop, I thought, "I dont want him to get a free card, and if I am beat, I would rather know now... rather than x/c T and R."
He did not seem type to stop betting...
I guess I am lost in these type hands. A weak hand, with some value OOP vs an aggro opponent.
Would this just be a x/f on flop?

My apologies which. I meant to get back to you on this hand and completely forgot.
I'm not folding top pair to this guy on the flop. He seems like a typical aggro fish and if I'm folding top pair, then I'm folding too much of my range vs him when he does stuff like this on the flop. On the turn, I check because he has the initiative now. At this point, I'm just hoping to get to showdown cheaply. I'm hoping he checks behind, but if he bets small enough, I'll call again and evaluate on the river. If he bombs the turn, then I'll likely just fold and look for a better spot. I'm not interested in investing a lot of money w/ this hand. You want to play small pots w/ small hands, and big pots with big hands. This is obv a small hand, but being OOP to an aggro player will sometimes force you to play slightly bigger pots than you desire.
Oh, and I like your play on the flop. There are plenty of worse hands to get value from and you want to charge the draws.
Essentially, I'm just trying to play a small pot here and get to showdown. If he bets big, then good for him. I'll fold and look for a better spot. I'd be looking to get into as many pots as I can vs him in position though in the future.

Agree with this a lot. Particularly the last sentence.

thanks TSB,
I was thinking same thing, some players are just willing to commit more with less than I am. I figure that as long as I keep playing my game (small ball with small hands, like you recommend) I may be able to take advantage later. Especially if he thinks I am scared money.
