Grr. I just spent 20 minutes writing something up, misclicked a reply link here and lost all my text. FML. Let's try again.

I know this is late but this is the first moment I've had to sit down and write this. I hope there is still time for you to read this over and consider it.

I want to be part of the Vantastic Four. This year, I've made a resolution to get serious about poker. I have been working up to it, but this year is it. I will study regularly and assiduously. I will review my hands. I will watch videos and take notes, I will pay more attention at the tables, I might even play less tables to focus more on my play.

I am not scared of criticism or debate. In fact, I've paid good people good money to criticize me, and I feel I've gotten a lot out of it. When bones and AMT asked me to be part of a mentor video with them, I jumped at the opportunity, and not just for my benefit. I feel that my game has a good number of leaks, and I want to tackle them. I think DC members will also benefit. I identify with every member struggling to move up. While I may be successful at the $11s 9-mans regular speeds, turbo $16 9-mans and 18-mans are a different story for me so far. My journey through them is sure to be interesting to many members, and exposing and working on my leaks will help them with their own. What's more, I believe not that many DC members play at those stakes regularly yet, and I think that different point of view will be helpful. Perhaps we'll notice that there isn't that much difference between $3.40s and $11s.

I'm not afraid of asking questions or of getting the answers, and I think about poker pretty much all the time. I participate in the forums regularly. I've played in the SNG tourneys for DC, even if they are clearly -EV compared to regular tourneys . Let's be serious, I am in it for the money and for myself, but DC has given me a lot and I have no problem giving back.

More than all of that, I'm a computer guy. If we run into Skype or teamviewer issues, I can help get things back on track. If you need some program coded up to simulate whatever (odds, equities, hands), I can do that. I can bring things to the table that we haven't even thought of yet.

In short, I want to be as Vantastic as I can be. Pick me, and we'll show the Krulls and Doombots of the table what's what.
