nah great vid guys and loving theses vids
You guys are the reason i renew my DC account.
I definitely feel lucky that I was picked for this video by AMT and bones. Also, I think this was the first Mentor video they've done too, so it's an honour as well.

The ATs Lead into an aggro player.
From my experience when an aggro player sees a weak lead like this they raise with pretty much ATC. So doing this when you have air is probably not optimal, as you're going to be bluffed off this pot with no ability to play back a large % of the tiem.
Vs a villain that is aggro, and likely to have missed the board, I'm check / raising him here. Granted it commits us to the pot the few times he actually has a hand, but from the dynamic you describe I'd say it's pretty tough to exploit as long as we do it with a balanced range of A high air (3+ outs) and hands we'd comfortably get it in with(TPGK+, on most boards)
There's some merit there, but the more I think about, if he's reasonably loose in the context and really that aggro it's prob just a shove pre. It's going to be really hard to turn a profit flatting OOP and taking that line unless we're C/raising a ton of flops. As I mentioned in the video, a lot of the post flop specifics with the stacks just seem too hopeful/specific.

I think having that as your first post leaves much to be desired.
I don't think any coach at DC has any problem when a student questions their thinking or their preferred style/line of play. We are all here obviously to learn and to play some winning poker. Raising multiple questions about key points shows a student is actively thinking about what he is being taught, not just being spoon-fed.
I beg to differ that questioning a coach makes or breaks a video. Very informative vid imo.

We specifically try to get members in vids who will ask questions and give reasoning for their thought process. Especially in vids like this where we're only looking at a few hands, we really want to break down the decision making process. That's tough to do with just coaches lecturing because we make take a few "standard" things for granted.

If I agreed with everything they said to start with, I wouldn't have played the way I did, would I?
And this as a first post? Why don't you STFU and actually try to contribute something instead of shitting on my mentor video? I did it for DC, and if I knew I'd get a stupid comment like yours I would have just booked a coaching session and wouldn't have given a shit if you got your weekly tourney vid or not.
Yeah this video is totally constructive - always good to get underneath decision making processes and debate not only what to do but why.
Oh and toker - don't take the bait from this guy - that is possibly what this guy would want imo.
Good video, toker being 1 of the stronger posters in this forum, interesting to hear his thought process against other DC members in the study group. Is this going to be a whole a series with toker?
This was a standalone, but we'd certainly be up for working with Sebastien again if he's interested.

clearly to tough for me
47:30 matterd16 is a good reg and shoving superwide here. It's definitely a reshove but has nothing to do with him getting bad beat. He is losing 50% of his stack within the next 4 hands so he needs to pick a spot and shove the first pretty hand he finds.
52:00 This is pretty close because I actually expect to be called much wider because of the 5bb stacks in the blinds. Unfortunately 6 high doesn't play as well when we are being called by JTs+, QTo+. I think it depends on our image and how much we have played versus these players too.
56:30 I think checking behind is good if UTG is spewy and shoving is better if he is solidish.
