Hello DC community!

As the title says I've been away for some time (quit after Black Friday) and came back to poker a few weeks back. Found I had a few bucks (8$) on Pokerstars I thought I'd start grinding from there and see where the boat takes me.
After a 300 SnGs (1.50$ DoN, 9man + 9man Turbo) I found that I'm barely getting 46% ITM and a ROI of 9%.
I started of good building my bankroll to 50$ in around a matter of days but after that I've been struggling with getting into the money. The last 200 SnGs I've been breaking even.

I've looked at a lot of DC Videos and had some coaching when I was grinding some years back but I feel I'm missing out a lot of what SnG is today. Or maybe my memory has forgotten some key issues.

Stat wise I am playing a 14/12 over 25k hands thus far.

When talking about software usage, I have to admit, I went and bought a Mac which limits my software to PT3. I am not a technical guy so can't get WINE to work for PokerStove and missing any Windows OS ISO file so can't that and HEM + SnG Wiz (which was a great tool to learn about the shove game) to work.

So coming to the question, can anyone give advise on videos that could help in coming back to the game?
Also would appriciate if anyone is playing on Mac to how / what software setup you are using?
Do you feel the SnG game has changed at all this past year+ in the micro stakes? I know tons more regs on PS atleast. Smile

Thanks for any input you can give!

- Pete

PS. Sorry for spelling and grammar

To answer you mac question: You have two posibilities basically if you wanna run all those programs, 1 is install bootcamp which makes a partition on your mac and install windows on it or 2 you can install some kind of virtualization software like parallels desktop where you just run windows (with parallels desktop between) on your mac software. I hope this helps a bit...

Im a fultime sit and go player at mid stakes and I have found the "situation room" and "Where did I put my fold Equity" series absolute gold. They have helped my game heaps and Id advise anybody who wants to get better at sit and gos to watch them.

Use propokertools.com instead of pokerstove or the propokertools odds oracle program.

illsabio, thanks was looking into this earlier and got a W7 and installing it through VirtualBox so atleast I can get SnGWiz up and running for those practice sessions. Yes it helped so thank you Smile

Great I'll get on those videos to start off with bevo. Really appriciate the input on those videos! Smile

Really nice that propokertools.com calculator. Cheers shuttle! Smile

I was still curious about another thing regarding sites to play on these days for SnG 9man? Pokerstars have the volume but any mid-sized rooms with softer players or is it still better to be a needle in the haystack on PS?

Sorry to hijack. I'm considering checking out these vids. I'm a low-budget hyper turbo player. Are these the best vids for hyper-turbos. I've no real training at poker, just lots of experience. I simply play by intuition and I use a simple HUD. My ROI is 21%, ITM 52% over 600 tournies so I think I've got the basics?
