Not sure what you mean. 76o and 22 have the same fold equity.

im saying i would rather open push almost anything next hand then be shoving over the limp with this hand

I mis-read you earlier too, I thought you meant that 76 would be better to shove here than 22, sry.
To me it seems very close on the 22 this hand or wait for 76o+ next, but I also do slightly prefer the open 76o next rather than this 22 vs an unknown limper.

What was the heros image? had the tables just broke or were u playing with the same players for a few hours ?had u shoved many times in the past few orbits? I think game flow could have a lot to do with this 22 shove ....guys to act behind you will probably respect the shove more because of the utg limp which is generally perceived as strong.I think you can get a lot of folds from hands like 66-88 AJo A10s and just hope that the utg limp is a fish

If I remember right, it was a fairly new table.

You have to remember that one merit of shoving with a stack size of 8-20 big blinds is you have loads of fold equity. Realistically when we shove 22 we have good fold equity and we're only behind against higher PPs and flipping against AK AQ AJ etc. Saying that, 13bb isn't too short, i'd fold and wait for a hand (something like 10Jo even) on the button or CO with the action folded round.

You have to deduce why are you shoving, for value? I feel with 22 you're not, in which case, dead money?

Open limping shows strength, even if it is a freeroll. So i Just fold wait to steal from CO and BTN.

You are definitely better shoving a hand like TJ from CO than 22 UTG+1 with a limper.

Saying this, I don't think shoving is that bad, it's just you're flipping at best so it's not great chip EV wise. So personally i'd fold.

I want to call this a shove. I am sure you will be getting a lot of folds being 3 to the money. And I am sure the structureis horrible too. And you could always make quads too. If people are limping 99 and calling ATs this table is tight.
