Villain is a fishy calling station, we are very deep, down to a few tables, top-heavy structure.

When you put approx 10% of your stack in with a monster I feel it is fine to keep betting and to possibly go broke unless some interesting read or very tricky board is present.
With the moderately coordinated flop and a calling station type oppo I would have bet higher 18 or 20k, and would have been planing to push the turn.
The turn isn't that good but when you check the turn it will quite likely induce a move. I would still expect to be ahead a decent amount of the time and would call this down.

With a stack of only 8 orbits your stack is very difficult to play. For example you already have more than 25% of your stack in play and are now facing a difficult decision. Consider shoving preflop especially as you will probably be out of postionafter the flop! An alternative is the small raise preflop and shoving on the flop although I like the preflop shove more. BTW I have seen AA called down by AQ in some pretty big events.

I feel like a fish would bet a bare K bigger on the turn and not just click half pot. I'd assume he either has a boat or some draw/weaker hand he is protecting or doing the ol' "not-sure-what's-going-on-guess-I'll-bet" line.

agreed. but are you betting the turn? i thought it could be an insta barrel but i guess by checking we give him a chance to have weaker holding in his range. Guess it depends on said fishy player

How about just raising to like 20k pre, and then all in on the flop?

More like 3 years ago, in MTTs at least. And anybody sugesting to shove AA pre 20 deep in a tourney to avoid getting a "gross" turncard is a serious nit.

As played a like the turn check to allow AQ/AJ/QJ 89/J9/J8/Q9/Q8 or a random FD to bluff, which is a big chunk of his range. Also he might spazbet a T or a 7.
If we give him just the suited combos of all the straight draws besides QJ aswell as 6 bare FD combos, and a value range of KQo-KTo, KQs-K4s, 77, we still have 49,5% equity. Of course he may not bluff some of those hands, but he may also have way more FD combos or off suit straight draws or randomly bet some other float/made hand OR he may slowplay a monster with only pot behind. I think my estimation is quiet conservertive and with that equity, a 75k pot and only 50 behind I think you should clearly ch/shove turn.
