Thanks for the response
He was running 20/15 with a 3bet % of 9.1 over 46 hands. If we jam over the 5bet are we getting called by ANYTHING? He seemed like a very competent player who could be very capable of laying down premium hands to a 6bet jam. I flatted the 5bet hoping to get more value.

Info on villain? I'd probably 4 bet bigger and jam over the 5 bet.
+1

If you only have 46 hands the 3-bet % still doesn't mean very much, the 9.1% is probably due to one hand - so if the V. didn't raise that hand this stat would be 0.0%.
As far as the 5 bet goes, this player has given a great indication that he really likes his hand I suggest you keep betting for value. Don't forget that the flop can easily kill the hand - if an A shows and the player has KK or QQ you won't get any more, if a K shows you lose or get nothing more, if 3 to a flush etc.

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess I probably should ship it. The stacks are deep enough that I could even 6bet to try induce a jam from him. The only reason I flatted was because I felt that a 6 bet jam would make it totally obvious that I had Aces, and I didn't want my hand to be obvious. Thought it was a pretty interesting hand though, not often you see this sort of raise battle at these stakes.

i actually dont like 4 betting tbh. If he is aggro, by 4 betting after an utg open we define our range as super strong, and we will only get him in probably with AKs, Q's + and we get them a lot otf anyways. But i would think an active button raiser would be polarized and have blocker type hands more then not.
Im saying active tbh bc of his sizing preflop is so small and he is otb. i think an OPR search would help you a lot bc if he is a decent player looking at his results and amount played i think 4 betting loses us value unless we know he is a whale.
