Love your vids so far, I feel like that other MTT videos on DC give players a good, solid foundation, but playing an ABC style didn't get me very far in mid/higher stakes tourneys so far when I happened to play them, and you're showing more advanced concepts, and also deeper thinking in every situation.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to your content in the future!

Thank you, I don't comment much, but great analysis. Thanks J for your insight, while sometimes you say you are rambling, I disagree... it is from within that stream of conciousness which your rich global contextualizations really set this video series apart. Well Done !... Note to DC team...Moar Plz =)

In this hand you check back the turn with the set when the flush hits and decide to raise the river. The turn spot is pretty much a spot where I would always bet but I actually really like your explanation as to why you didn't. Basically when the flush card hits you feel that you hand is now a 2 streets of value only hand right? So any hands that we beat that call the turn will most likely fold the river and betting 3 streets will probably value town ourself?

Even given the above, do you still not think it is better to bet the turn, there are a lot of river cards that we don't like, any diamond, J or T and we want to get value and protect. You also say at the end when you raise the river than you think he would raise a FD on the flop so given that read I think you have to bet turn.

Not a huge fan of the river raise as now is a spot where I definitely think only better will call, the only hand that can call is KQ maybe, but KQ would most likely call a turn barrel and also a river bet so would prefer to use my chips in that line rather than the river raise, that way we wouldn't have given any pair + gutter/flushdraw a free card on the turn.

I know you made the raised based on his bet sizing bet I don't think it is that much of a blocking bet. You cbet the flop ch the turn on a pretty wet board so your range doesn't look that strong, therefore I think would probably bet this sort of size with my value range including a flush as I dont think you can call that big of a bet

Wouldn't you want to make it larger than usual as Maneo calls more than his fair share of 3bets?

Would you click it back with say sets and overpairs to get it in this spot too?

Hey Chips, thanks for the comments. It's pretty interesting looking back at this stuff since I think I'm a lot better today than I was back then.

Definitely agree turn with the set is a bet. Mainly I want to fold his equity share with diamonds.

I allude to the 3b size but it's fine to size small with AA because the effective stack sizes make it easy to get it in regardless of sizing. I would rarely 3b light there to begin with though. Squeezing those positions and that specific player light would be pretty bad.

I would definitely click it back with some hands and I would also sometimes flat with the very strong stuff (AA, sets).
