hey duck
can you comment maybe about your well-known preference to play "stupidly aggressive" in the early rounds to build an intimidating stack?
how does that square with playing tight?
seems to me that playing classic tight and aggressive (a/k/a taggy) is polar opposite of "stupidly aggressive" - in fact, it's more like super-smart-aggressive
dazed & confused **
Hey there - I think I'm playing pretty aggro in the pots I'm in to try to win them and try to build a stack, but I'm not playing very many hands where I have to rely on bluffing, because so many players are bad and bluffing just doesn't work very well. If you play a better hand selection, you will have it more often, and therefore be able to value bet very aggressively with some occasional bluffs mixed in, which I think is the best strategy early on in this sort of field.

God ur early MTT game betsizing is just so standard for MTT donks. I thought u played cashgames, any cash game player would realize that Cbetting half pot with that 66 against a donk is just burning money. And the KK 3bet sizing oop is just redic. Feel this is a problem almost all MTT pro's have early game. Its a great thing deep in tourneys as stacks get shallow, but its just shooting urself in the leg early on when the stacks are deep and the donks are everywhere.
What do you suggest in both cases?

So we are not worried about the button there? Obviously we are committed if he has something, so just wondering if you consider stacks behind you when 3betting. Other question was what amount do you make it? I think it says 2450 but the chips block your amounts. Liking the video btw!
I was wondering the same thing as Skitz about the 75s hand, what about the SB and the button? The SB and button's ranges may be pretty wide here because of the potential dead money and your image as a live player? Do you think the SB calling could ever induce the HJ to call as well because of pot odds (wasn't sure if your sizing was 2150 or 2450)? Loved the video though but just can't wrap my head around this one.

Love the vid thanks a lot Vanessa.... I agree with some spots mentioned before in the thread about checking stacks behind when threebetting.... curious about the spot superjenium mentioned (who by the way has gone deep in the last two sunday millions or so)..... btw I guess Vanessa refers to sunday million as deepstacks to begin the tournament like in the WSOP etc... but it usually plays pretty shallow in the late stages. Pureprofitfo is pretty LAG I like the way u played against him overall.... Althought the hand with 66 how about threebetting small/folding to a 4bet vs him.....? He is minraising opening every time is folded to him usually ....once again thanks for the vid.. its awesome

So what is the optimal betsizing? for the KK 3b and the cbet with 66 what should it be? I mean to doubt what vanessa is doin at any part and to call it "burning $" and her a "MTT donk" is pretty as u say redic...

It's not really correct to say that a suited-A is only 3% better in equity than the offsuit equivalent. True that you will only make a flush 3% of the time by the river, but having a flush draw on the flop creating semibluff opportunities or even a backdoor on the flop that allows you to barrel a lot more turns makes the suited hand much better than the offsuit. I think someone who plays extremely well after the flop like Vanessa should play Axs liberally especially in a super-spewy field like the sunday million. You play really good, try to be in as many pots as possible with the fish!
