btw I like the podcast style, and I thought this was a really good episode.

As an aside you can turbo muck those aces, but if you find yourself thinking about it a fair amount, you can also rep AK by smiling and laughing slightly like you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar then muck. Makes it look like you were thinking of making a stupid play at it. I take some time to think through certain spots, so I might smilemuck there.

Love the 7K bet btw. I use that sometimes, although I am rarely perceived as a nit.

My plan for this series is to have guests of all caliber, from coaches, to amateur players I meet at tournaments, to guest poker pros....

Lastly, if you play in a tournament and go relatively deep and have interesting hands, you could be a guest on the podcast. Send me an email to vanessa@deucescracked.com, subject: Tournamentality episode content. Then tell me about the tournament, about the hands you think are interesting, and about your analysis. Make it detailed, as I'm going to select people I think have thought deeply about the content so we can have a rich discussion. I hope to hear from you!

I think this is maybe an underappreciated aspect of Vanessa's vision. Obviously I learn a lot from hearing Joe Tall talk about his hands (even if he insists he's no NL expert), but I'd love to hear analysis from all levels from the Daily Dollar to the Sunday 500 to the WSOP Main Event.

I'll look out for some hands to send -- are we talking just NLHE, or NLHE/PLO, or all sorts of games?

I would like the ability to have it as a podcast that I could subscribe to thru i tunes rather than download each episode individually. The same as I do for Duece plays etc.
I only came across this because it was mentioned by Bart on his pod cast.
A podcast that concentrates on tournament play is a welcome addition to the podcasts offered.

Vanessa's series is premium subscription material. DeucePlays and Hey Ball are podcast that are free to the public. We will not be offering Tournamentality on iTunes, sorry.

Ok I didn't realise that.

Is there a way that those of us that subscribe can be emailed when the next episode in the series is released?

As an aside I found that the audio level on episode one was a little on the low/quiet side when you were speaking Joe, This seemed to be better in episode 2 so it might of been your hardware.

Re: Subscribing via email, there may be tools that you can use to do this, but right now we only support subscribing via RSS.

Glad to hear the audio is improved, for an MP3-based series we really want to do our best and have ordered some top-notch equipment for Vanessa's live recordings when she's traveling. Grin

I'm new to DC and really enjoying this. I don't have time to watch as many vids as I'd like so was reconsidering my membership, but very happy after listening to this. Great for me cause it's easy to fit in while multi-tasking. I'll look forward to weekly episodes. Thanks, Jennifer

I don't know if I like this fold with AA here. The spot sucks, but I'm surprised no one mentioned that the donkey probably has a q leaving only 1 combination of QQ left in the deck making KK 5 or 6 times more likely. Although realistically its more like 2-3 times more likely since he wont have a Q every time. I can honestly say my thought process was not results oriented because I thought it before results were given and the way that the hand was being explained I thought you were going to say scott snapped with QQ.
