I have a step 6 ticket and would like to play it this week, Is there any specific videos to watch that pertain to this specific topic that would help me patch a few holes in my game before I play in this?

If you can wait 2 months, hopefully we'll have a step 6 vid. Step series coming up!

Nice! Sounds good.... Bones, What would you say out of all the step 6 that are available right now has the best value considering the overall picture between Tourney payouts etc.... I'll be honest I built this step 6 up from FPP's and while I play some bigger buyin tourneys nothing near as big as 2k...... Do you suggest I wait for the WSOP?

I personally love the structure of the NAPT and think its an incredilbe tour.....Def, not interested in WSOP ME (Yet) Any insight or advice would be great, I think there are a lot of people that run good and get into the same situation I am in right now that just dont have the bankroll even close enough to play a 2k satty!

Same boat as Jodwin...I only had a few hundred in my Stars account (play mostly on FTP) so I decided to spend all my dollars on step 1 entries and try to run it up to a few higher step tickets to either play the sunday million or satellite into a live event. I remember in one of the vids on here it was mentioned that the satellites closer to the event seem to be a bit softer since people are last minute scrambling to get their satellite entries...that and Step 6s fill up so slowly. Definitely would like to hear a discussion of what people think is the best value for players that are obviously taking a shot far above their bankroll at a big live event entry...

LS, Congrats on your success with running it up to a step 6.... I have been registered in my step 6 since 4pm and it is currently 9:40pm...... I would figure their would be more of them running since its getting closer to the tournament so well see, How did you ever end up with your step 6?

Thanks. I just ran super hot I think and finally busted through on a step 5. Agree there's like no game selection possible at step 5 or 6... you just have to pray they fill up in a reasonable amount of time when you're still available haha. I think last year the high steps filled up with some increased frequency as we approached the WSOP, but the rest of the year it was quite dead. I think the rate at which they filled up spiked a little bit for PCA too. Spring seems to be a slow time of year for these things I guess...

Im not sure if it's still possible but during SCOOP and WCOOP you can actually play the steps as satties to the bigger (and smaller) events and unregister from them for W$ and exchange it for cash if you're not interested in playing a huge event compared to your bankroll. I did this a a few times during WCOOP last year when i played some satties with step 4 tickets i had lying around.

Can anyone still do this? I thought that the steps tickets were similar to FTP tokens in that you can buy in with them but you can only get refunded in back the token, not T$....

If you buy in and unregister with your ticket, it refunds your ticket. The new satellites for Sunday 500, etc. with step tickets seem to give nonrefundable tickets out now and I believe they will continue with that system in the future as well.

IMO this system is benefitial to the more casual players. I think I remember when Steps first came out the HS SnG regs would just sit at the top steps and crush all the amateurs and convert all their tourney entries into W$. Something crazy like guys would win 10+ WSOP ME entries and convert them all

I disagree entirely. Now, when there's practically no exit from step system, they run less often, require huge capital to run and there's still the high stakes regs (only guys rolled enough to really benefit from steps) at the top 2 steps, where there are cash payouts and if you win multiple seats you can get them as W$ (or like WSOP seats, that you get as $s straight away).

They are very good business for Stars, as they can get their rake on multiple steps, get people to play higher level of SNGs than they had played before and get casual players interested (even though they have virtually no chance at benefiting from the system).

Oh I didn't realize you can still get W$ if you win multiple entries...
