In January I made a new years resolution to get good at poker and I grinded the whole month and made a decent amount of money. When February came around I was super confident and thought I understood the game enough so I jumped up to $10 45 person MTTs and donked off my entire roll pretty much. Now I am stuck griding super turbos. Isn't that sad. I feel like such a disappointment. Does anyone else have embarrassing spews? I attached a picture of the graph so you could get a good laugh out of it.

Yeah my sharkscope graph looks like a roller coaster ride. You prolly shoulda quit playing and evaluated your game a bit when you were 60 buy-ins down lol.
Nothing wrong with grinding low stakes super turbos. Rebuild that bankroll.
A side note: Does Sharkscope freeze your computer for like 30 seconds every time you go to the site? I swear my computer almost crashes every single time I go to that specific site.

Yep easily Oct 09' I said "you know I will try to play poker online and make some spare cash". The last time I had played online was a few years prior and I had donked away 100 bucks and called it quits.
This time I thought I was set for the big rise since I had read Ferguson's 1 to 10k story and challenge. I hit the tables starting at the very bottom and won 40 then donked it away plus 80.
Simply put be careful nothing wrong with taking shot but if you run bad drop down. If you don't and you are really playing out of your bankroll you will find yourself in trouble.
Good news is you can easily turn it around by the end of November I had finally started being the lowest stakes(funny to think I thought that was difficult).
PS - If your roll is hurting I would switch to normal 9man stt's and hold off for a bit on the super turbos.

No, but I am having similar freezing problems with the recent update of holdem manager. It really slows down my computer.
Side Note: I just bought a 26 inch 1080p HD lcd monitor to play poker on, I highly highly recommend getting one, its amazing.

That happened to me too. It stopped when I cleared my cache/cookies etc. Don't know why, but it was an instantaneous difference.

Something really important I learned was that you don't have to play above the rim and have a better A game than everyone else all the time. The key is to try to play your C game less often than everyone else. DUCY?
What's helped me get out of downswings is moving down, quitting when tilted, and playing less tables. The latter two are huge imo.

I can relate, because I play micro cash games and will play "very well" (if I know what that is) for a week, and lose focus in one hand and spew off a buy-in which leads to more bad play.
Only advice I can give, is don't give up. Don't let it deter you. Learn from it if possible, and you'll make your new years resolution in due time if you want it badly enough.
And just 'cause it may help, "Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently" which is a Henry Ford quote.
