I have a Dell right now and would never buy another....it's terrible
Lol - you really hate Dell. What's been so bad with your's? I have a Dell XPS and so far it's performed pretty solidly. It was marketed as their high performance model when I bought it I believe. Still want to thow it out the window on occasion, but that's down to my current erratic wireless connection which I don't think is due to any fault with the computer.

yeah thats got 64bit though so wont work on 32 bit devices like older printers
I'm probably going to get the 15in Asus I posted earlier. It also has 64 bit, but I don't think this should be a problem for me.

Currently I have a dell studio 17 laptop and it's been fine for grinding when I've been on the road.
Also I'd just avoid toshiba laptops entirely, they come preinstalled with crapware and I've always been dissatisfied with them.

I will never buy a Dell again. I have one now and it's been nothing but problems since I got it.

ok - so long as you know it only has Wireless: 802.11 b/g/n (@ 2.4GHz)
to get the largest throughput Wireless: 802.11 a/g/n (@ 5.4GHz) is required
may be consider upgrading the battery too -
I don't know what this means...

The biggest problem is the computer will just go to like a blue or gray screen almost once a day and freeze so I have to restart it. It's happened at some bad times while playing poker. The display also frequently blacks out while watching movies or videos. I've had a lot of problems with the battery/AC adapter as well.

I would just sell thec macbook and get an hp spectre plus docking station and 2nd monitor instead.
If you absolutely need 2 separate notebooks you should get a used or refurbished older model with 1600x 900 screen resolution or better
