I have some major problems installing Holdem manager. I´m using Vista so it says 1."Disable User Access Control in your Control Panel- Users section, Where is that?
2. Rightclick holdemmanager.exe in your Holdem Maneger folder, select Properties and go to the second tab and make sure ir runs as administrator.
3.Repeat step #2 for hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe
The problem is that I can not find these files in my holdem managerfolder, the only files i find is HoldemManagerSetupProdject and setup.
Second problem I have is when I´m installing PostgreSQL, I dont know what to put in :Account name and :Account domain.
It says in the instruction just to leave Account domain as it is and change Account name from postgres to postgresuser if u get an error massage but im getting the error massage either way!!!And if create an account i get a error massage at the end of the installaition that its not possible to find an account like that.
I know im a loser when it comes to cumputers so I would be very happy if someone could help me PLEASE....

Toke, I can help you on the first bit.

a. To find User Access Panel, go to Start Menu > Control Panel > User Accounts...turning off UAP is an option there
b. You don't need to run as administrator - it's already done for you. See this thread:
http://rvgsoftware.com/communityserver/forums/t/3129.aspx

Can't help on the SQL stuff.

Jxi, nice frst post. Suspect you've been hanging round 2+2 too long.

If you delete the whole lot of it then download and install PT3 it sets up Sql for you then you can download and install the latest version of HM and let it setup SQL for you. That worked for me.

What I'd really like to see is HM for Linux. I switched to Ubuntu a few weeks ago on my main computer, and have been playing without HUD since then.

Just use VMWare fusion -- seems to work great for me. You can even use Bootcamp for XP alone and then run VMWare fusion when you want to run XP at the same time as OSX.

Thanks Rob, so are you you using pokertracker with VMWare fusion or hold em manager? Does it matter if you are running the poker client (i.e. Stars or Tilt) from OSX and then the poker database from VMWare fusion?

Full disclosure, I don't really play poker on my mac. I've set it up for Jay and Chuck to do that with HEM+everything else, though. In both cases you run the poker client under Windows alongside HEM.
