Hi DJ and anybody else reading this,
This might be a dumb question but here goes, I have loaded HEM and got it working with Stars, then I watched this video and all seemed to be looking good, however I have decided that due to me not having used HEM or PT before, plus based on some other advice from the "Software" forum I am going to keep my stats down in the region of 6, 7 or 8 until I get used to it.
The most important stats (imo) are VPIP, PFR, Aggression, # of hands, 3bet %, and fold to 3bet. As long as you have those in place you should be fine, anything else you add is great if you know how to use it and aren't distracted by it or anything.
What I am struggling to understand is how do you get to the numbers that you put against each stat, in this vid DJ clicks on a stat, lets say PFA, he chooses a colour then puts a number against it, he does this three times per stat to show fish through to shark, where do these numbers come from?
All of the numbers I used come from my own personal experience and my rough estimates of the kind of ranges that various player-types will be likely to have.
Before I continue I am not saying I do not trust DJ's choice of numbers, but I just need it cleared up if his choice is the choice of all or do I put in my own to suit my own game, there are some vids on the HEM site but for some reason I cannot get them to work.
Thanks Guys
Mike
I wouldn't stress too much about it. The whole point of the HUD is to give you a little extra assistance when deciding what play to make, if you don't have specific reads on your opponent. If you're making every decision based on something in your HUD, then you're probably doing it wrong!

Those ranges are a little more designed towards 6max, but they'd work for FR too. Its not like the ranges and colors are crucial, they just help make things easier to interpret.
Also I'd highly recommend that you start using 3bet and fold to 3bet stats as well. At the very least, add them and just see what kind of players have different stats in those categories.
can some1 help? just purchased hem and it not importing at all. i shut off the user account thing like they said but still cant figure it out. ive had it for 3 days the 1st day it was at least showing which table i was at and it said it was importing every 5 seconds, but since then nothing works.
they have a hm forum and also a thread on 2+2. your hm ? will get answered faster there i think.
i cant add post flop aggression.. is it just because of the trial version or am i just to stupid to find it??

No idea, I'd post some screenshots or something that will actually be useful to help you with. Also consider posting on HEM forums, you'll probably get a quicker/better response there.
Just got set up. This video was very helpful. In the video it explained that if the HUDs were misplaced to just right click and drag to proper position. Which works fine however after showdown and the replay comes up the hands are out of place. Is this a setting I need to change?

If this is because you have a preferred seat (and thus automatically shift to always be in it) then theres a setting you can change to fix that. Go to HUD Options -> Seating Preferences and enter in the # of the seat(s) you prefer. It might take some experimenting to figure out the #'s of your seat, but generally they work their way clockwise starting from the dealers left.
Hello, really great video that shows the steps to do this
But how do I set up the HUD with letters? For example, this is how you have it know 30/40/20. And I was whondering how can you make it F3b: F4b: Cb:.
How do you make those letters in your HUD?
Would be awsome with an answer! ![]()
I've got the same problem as Ryllban..
I just find out it...everything works no perfect![]()

HUD options->player preferences->appearance->tick a box "show abbreviations". Now it has the standard abbreviations that HEM has for each stat as default. If you want to change those go back to stats tab and click on a random stat which name you want to change, you'll see at the bottom right corner the abbreviations box where you can change the letters. =)
Any chance we can see a HEM2 tutorial video? I know the basic functionality, how to setup my HUD, create an alias, find reports, etc, but a 2-part series on the basic and advanced functionality would be incredible.
Please see our FAQ for the different pokersites: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/521/Supported+Sites+-+Minimum+PC+Specs
If you need further help its probably better to create a new thread and explain your problems in more details like HM version, pokersite, gametype, computer,....
No worries, HEM2 is working just fine; unlike PT3 and PT4, I have NEVER had any issues with HEM2.
I was just curious how some pros may use some of the more advanced filters, etc.
Keep up the great work, HEM staff!
Yes I would like a video just like tool time for the new HEM. Would be amazing.
