I currently don't use any tracking software or HUD. I would like to start using some but I'm not sure if I should wait for PT3 or just get PT2 now. I play at Bodog and Full Tilt. Bodog is not listed as a supported site yet for PT3 but I could get a hand grabber for PT2 for Bodog hands. I would also get Poker Ace if I got PT2. Or should I wait for PT3 and it's HUD to be done(which I read somewhere in these forums should be by the end of the month.
Thanks in advance

Basically if you buy PT2 + Poker Ace Hud now you will get PT3 for next to nothing.
From the way things are swinging it might be good to look at hold'em manager before you buy the poker tracker software

Yes, it's in their FAQ.
I think that best choice at the moment for absolute beginners is to use Poker Tracker 3 for free, even if it's still a beta, waiting for next month when it should be possible to evaluate what software is the best: Poker Tracker 3, Hold'em Manager, or PokerEV.

Yeah I agree. Try PT3 now that it has the HUD built in. There is no point with PT2+PAH anymore

So, has anyone tested both and likes one more than the other?
Rob, did you test PT3?
I have to upgrade on a new computer, which means choosing one or the other. I'll be testing out the free version of HEM this week. I'll hold off purchasing until I've tried the beta of PT3.

I tried out PT3 a while ago but it's unlikely I'll be using it again, unless there's something really revolutionary that they do that other people can't duplicate, which seems unlikely. HEM is just so far ahead of the game at this point that it's going to take a lot for me to shift to another program.

Yup, HEM already has most of the features I need, whereas the competition is still lagging behind. Also, Roy (HEM dude) is very good at listening to feature requests from his clients, and so far every patch was a good step forward.
You can't really go wrong with either of the 3 big ones (HEM, PT3, PokerEV), but HEM already has such a good basis, for me it was a no-brainer to go with it.

Once I got HEM working I knew I had found the one for me.
Not only did I find it easy enough to use but the mouse over pop ups are essential on my small monitor. I have 8 stats showing but a quick mouse over brings up all the related stuff. I did get PT3 working but I struggled being new to stats progs.
But my favourite thing about HEM, it only cost me $55 as I am a micro player. What a nice thing for the maker to do. I hope he makes a ton of money.
