Hi,

Have been trying to take notes while watching videos, but the Microsoft Word isn't really the thing for that. Since it's made for writting longer texts, and I would like something lighter.

Someone got tips what setup to use for Word to give it a more notetaking look?

Would like some simple free softwares just with the simplest features.

What do you use for notetaking?

In Episode 1 of the Haj School WiltOnTilt recommends Post It note software.

http://www.post-it.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Post_It/Global/Home/Products/Digital_Products/

You get a 30 day trial. Frm memory it's about $10 to buy. Very good. For explanation of how to use, watch the Haj School. It can move around your desktop easily click on and off able.

PS. I got engaged yesterday, and have lots of congratulations messages on Facebook from friends to reply to, but instead I'm writing this. About Post It notes? Priorities?

I maybe didn't get the question but why not just use "Sticky Notes" which is integrated in Windows?

I use pen and paper. I feel like the physical act of writing sticks in my brain more, and easier to reference/read back over.

I usually just use Google Docs and print that out when I'm done. When I feel like making a small note I use sticky notes for placing those post-it's on my desktop

Memento is good; a bit basic, but free.

Well there is some proggie called 'note caddy' that makes notes automatically, but i think the problem is it needs to be custumized by yourself plus it costs 50 bucks there is a monthly trial i think. There is some big post on 2+2 about it you should check it out there are some people that really like it.

Sticky Notes isn't integrated into Windows XP, fairly sure its in Vista and Windows 7 though.

Note Caddy is one of the most interesting poker software tools I have ever purchased. It is super powerful, ridiculously customizable and is seamlessly integrated with the two major poker database softwares. Just got it this weekend and I already think it is the most useful additions I have made to my poker education. I would love to see an episode of tool tips on this software. I see it was just breezed over here but for anyone who wants a tool that takes your raw stats and turns it into usable info on the table I think this will be must have. As it adds notes automatically about shown hands you quickly get visible ranges building up for 3bets, limps, cold calling. Pretty great tool. I recommend the trial to anyone. Micro stakes players can even pay the $50 on an installment plan. Nice.
