wat

This is what's happening when I use Yahoo mail. It mostly seems to happen when I sign out. I have not yet seen it happen on any other sites. What is changing is the entire line above File (there is usually nothing there), and everything to the right of the ABP box (again, nothing there usually).

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Here are the changes I made to my computer today:

Installed KeyScrambler (the free version), though I think this change didn't manifest itself until later.

Installed and ran ccleaner. Yes, I did back up the registry, so I can restore it, but that would also basically mean I can't use ccleaner in the future unless I identify which registry fix to NOT delete next time.

Installed ProcessGuard.

I did them in that order, with some time in between. I didn't see it happen until after I installed ProcessGuard, though maybe I just didn't check my email in between for whatever reason. I uninstalled PG thinking that was the problem, but it has persisted.

Help?

I would start by going to tools->add ons and disabling all the addons
and see if that corrects the fault.

If it does then you should re-enable the add ons 1 by 1 until you find the culprit.

I dont have a fix for this but you might want to used an email client for ur emails i.e. mozilla thunderbird, outlook etc.... so if u have more than one email address u can check them all at the same time.

you might want to try out Google Chrome imo, its faster imo but i dunno if its safer than firefox.... other ppl can tell you this

Why do people advice new internet browsers and/or e-mail clients when thats not the problem? Firefox is able to parse yahoo mail....

Just try re-install your browser and see if it helps?

Hey guys, thanks for the help.

As dw33p points out I'm not really looking to switch my browser or email. The former because I have gone to some length to customize Firefox and don't want to invest time into Chrome (or Opera or anything else) right now. Also I believe FF has better security, but I could be wrong about that.

Alternative emails are a possible option but not really the solution I'm looking for right now. Basically until I settle on a few other aspect of my protection scheme I don't want to touch my email addresses right now.

Denouement -

I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox. No dice.

I uninstalled KeyScrambler and so far no problem.

I really didn't want to do a registry restore so I'm very much hoping that was the problem. Also KeyScrambler should be unnecessary if I design a few other things I'm doing correctly.

Again, thanks for the help.
